More 2D role playing games like Brave Soul?

2D games like Brave Soul? Well, I know that there’s games that are kinda like Brave Soul, but I keep no real track of those, unfortunately enough ^^;;. But perhaps some of Studio E-go’s games would be a good example of those. Unfortunately, I don’t know if we’ll see any of these games here in the west, and neither Will nor Crowd have made any other 2D games…

From memory, some 2D (flat or isometric) bishoujo RPGs:
* Studio e-go’s “Castle Phantasia” series
* Abogado Powers’ “Div+ne luv”
* F&C’s “Romance wa ken no kagayaku” series
* Alice Soft’s “Rance” series and “Pastel Chime” and others (Alice Soft is probably the best to look for RPGs!)
* Zone’s “Asgaldh” and “Guren”
* Eushully’s “Battle Goddess” series
* I think GUST’s “Atelier” series is considered RPG… though of a special type, of course! :slight_smile:
* IIRC, Baroque’s games are isometric 2D RPGs as well…
* I somewhat recall that Parsley “Phantom Knight” are 2D RPGs as well…

Surely lots of others, but I’m lazy going through all my bookmarks and search or confirm… Sorry… ^^;;;;

Thanks a lot for this one.
I don't mind a rough english translation (for example the one in "Gin Iro").

But to add a little more off a not so adult related game, below i've posted a link for a french developer who made a 2D rpg with anime semi adult type game. It's a great game if you get the chance to play it and it's completely free as well the only major flaw is probably the english translation is a little rough in some places and it's a old school type game with limited graphics, but still highly enjoyable none the less.

Just a short notice:
I tried this one yesterday and was really surprised: It has an amazing quality for doujin-freeware.
I'd say, it's sure worth the 20MB download.

Well, honestly, except if it was very good, I think I have enough bishoujo games to keep me busy the next… decennies.
If I don’t buy new games, that is.

Well, "very good" would be exaggerating. It has an obvious deficit in the graphics department (regarding the full-screen dtory-related graphics, the graphics in map-mode and battle-mode are better). So, it could not compete with BS, but it helps to kill some time, waiting for it's release.

… and on the other hand: It is a bishoujo-doushin work that is completely for free.

So, for the first part of this fact, it deserves some attention because just one person (or so it seems) was capable of putting together this thing.

For the second part of it: What king of manners is this, being picky about a present?

Behold, people! Olf_Le_Dragon and this "tresure pile" of bishoujo games! It's amazing how he can sleep on those and still not break even one of them, don't you think? . If you keep buying games like that, you'll end up at the poor house .

I put them in armored chests.

If a normal dragon can sleep on piles of hard gold coins and other stuff, then why'd an... uh... "unusal" dragon like Olf le dragon get bothered by sleeping on some hard armored chests?

Uh, isn't that terribly hard to put them in chests when you have such big hands? . Come to think of it, I really have to wonder how a dragon wtch big hands liket hat can play a bishoujo game? Or do you have some obident human next to you who does the "complicated" things for you while you just stare at a big scene where the computer image is being projected at and tells the poor human what choices to do and such? .

Drat! You found out!
Yes, I have a giant screen linked to a computer and a human slave whose only duty is to play my bishoujo games for me. Last time I checked he wasn’t complaining though, as he can play all the games… (and it’s only IRL anyway, as I am actually a process from the Wired incarnated by Lain-sama inside a carbon-based body!).
So beware! You might meet me while playing “BS”!

So I was right! .

I’ll look forward to meet Olf_le_Dragon in Brave Soul if I by any cance meet you there. and perhas I can grab one or two of your chests at the same time, and then run to my “library” .
