4.Yu-No (A truly good masterpiece that really have a vivid description of the game’s world which sucks you in.Elf at it’s greatest.)
5.Kizuato (One of the first Horror-Visual Novels,better then To Heart in some ways.)
2. Maid in Bunny (Same as Gunner’s Broom!
;D )
3. Prism Heart (Nice CG art by my fave artist, I love good rasing sims…, music was composed well too.)
4. Nocturnal Illusion (Story was too cool)
5. Love Call (This one just reminded me of another version of Divi Dead, which I like as well…dark mysterious settings. Nice art, plenty of endings)

well, I can only play english games, so my opinions will be strange but:
True Love(dynamic play)
Season of the Sakura(I love Hikaru(Mio))
Princess Maker 2(a fun rpg, thats cute too)
Nocturnal Illusion(its the first game I bought)
I would put a 5th, but I havent found anything else worthwhile(the tragegy of the english translation market)(perhaps when I save enough $ to buy a PeachPrincess title…)

Before I got Kanon,I was literally playing the game for porn wasn’t really paying much to the story,but Kanon change all that and my view of the entire genre.Now I play games mostly for the story and the CGs.
That’s that.

elf is my favorite game maker, so that why I choose 3 games from there. Because of nice picture, not hard for people who don’t know japanese too much.
My top 5:
1.Gloria - loved the branching path and Mary & Charme were the hottest 1, 2 combo in any game I’ve played.
2.Season of the Sakura -Loved the multiple endings.
3.Desire -well 3/4 of it actually, I thought Makoto’s scenario was a total waste of time. Tina more than made up for it to take my #3 spot.
4.Words Worth -even though combat driven the story elements keep me interested until I get it finished. (yes I’m still playing and it would probably be #1 if my Japanese language skills were more than rudimentary)
5.Divi-Dead -best horror game ported to English by far, though you really needed the walkthrough to get the Sachiko ending.
