Has anyone played this yet? I’m thinking of getting it, wanted to see if anyone had an opinion on it. From the site, it looks exactly like a fantasy X-Change as mentioned above (this is a good thing. More genres should get x-change editions ).

And, because I can’t stand machine translations, this is what the dramaCD is about:

{Story}
The battle continues between the Dark Lord Rusty and the Hero Claus…
But their relationship has changed (for one of them anyway) since Rusty got changed into a woman!
Claus fell for Rusty (the woman) at first sight, and has been pressuring her to marry him.
Having escaped the danger posed by Claus, Rusty is trying to find some way to turn back to a man.
As the two of them fail to get what they want, they both take a trip for a chance of pace… and meet once again.
Into this zany drama, the Dark Lord’s servant and cousin, the Hero’s little sister and even the genie of the lamp get mixed up as well!

(I find it intriguing that the genie Fortina has both male and female voices on the CD. Just how much gender bending does this game have? )

I’ve played it, but only the sex scenes, since I don’t understand the language well enough to follow the story. I am ADDICTED to it. It has a character depth in regard to relationships that I can pick up on without speaking the language. I’d hesitate to call it a fuckfest, because it really isn’t.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but there’s apparently a Fan Disk under production for 3 Methods: ???666???. (Maou wo Seifukusuru Tame no, 666 no Houhou. aka, Method 666 to Conquer the Demon Lord)

it’s interesting although I’m not sure I’ll get it when it comes out. Lack of loliness and twincest are deciding factors, but the comedic idea of a demon lord trying to conquer the world trapped in a female body sounds like something from a Disgaea game which I tend to like…

Seems about as bendy as a corkscrew - from what I could tell, ALL the characters switch between outies and innies.

Looks kind of fun though, I figure I’d pick it up if it was released here.

Yeah, ???is a bit different from the usual TG game, definitely distinct from the typical Crowd game. They focused more on the ‘school life comedy’-ish aspect, and the main character basically acts and thinks like a girl despite the fact he’s originally a boy. Actually, it almost seems like they tried to make a gender bender in a way that had more general appeal (to whom, I don’t know) but the execution is a bit flat. I really wanted to like it but ended up bored at times. The fact that the characters all have voices in girl mode while none have voices in guy mode is rather discombobulating in dialogue, and since they change pretty often it destroys the continuity between the male and female sides: its like if a character only had half their lines voiced. IMO, TG games really need the guys to have voice acting too, which is another point Crowd is well versed on.

In any case, my point was that I’m willing to bet this will turn out much better than Kuru Kuru.

Since CROWD like to put things up on dlsite I’ll probably check out one of these titles (or maybe one of the Alternative titles) at some point and contrast

I’ve had similar problems with gender swapping eroges. Every game I’ve tried doesn’t quite seem to know what it wants to be, and vacillates between a large number of different genres, even on a scene by scene basis, with the result that it doesn’t really succeed at any of them (X-Change 3 is by far the worst culprit). Maybe that makes them more appealing for someone who just wants to play a gender-swapping game as it allows for a wider range of situations/ero-scenes etc., but it does hurt the game’s overall consistency and quality.

I guess there might be two alternative ways of going about it, neither of which I’ve seen attempted yet - take the approach that the KISS eroges (or some Softhouse Seal games) do and come up with a completely ridiculous denpa-esque scenario/protagonist/characters, or put the scenario first and write a story-based game that happens to have characters that swap gender in it.

A few CG shots are up and it looks wonderful so far. I really, really want these two to get licensed. I’d go so far as to rank them higher then X-Change Alternative 2.
