Just out of curiosity, the mangas on your catalogue are tankouban size, or, Dark Horse’s Trade-Paper-Back size?
More of a side-note than anything else about the mangas but I just came back from lunch and I had stopped by Waldenbooks. They had Maico 2010 and Kazan there. But of course, I always recommend you buy from your friendly neighborhood Peach Princess website…
Actually, I was a bit surprised myself. They were over next to the counter and I flipped through Maico vol. 1, which I have the e-book of. (Must remember to pick up the other volumes this weekend.) From what I can tell, they’re completely unedited, regular copies from Comic’s One. I wonder how well sales of those issues will do there?
That 's some good news, didn 't they have any games ?

Heh, well I meant that I was picking up the e-book versions. I'll be picking up the hardcopies from PeaPri in a month or two. (After I get my Christmas Shopping sorted out.) Oh and the comic book shop I frequest did pick up several Comic's One titles. (Including Sarai.) I'm sort of a regular there so I'll try and find out how well they're selling in a few weeks. But it is nice to see them out there. If only I can convince some of the computer stores to carry the PeaPri games...
most comic stores are getting rid off their anime stuff that 's why I go only to anime stores
More of another side note than anything else. I stopped by the Waldenbooks near my house today and they have Sarai over there as well as a few other Comic’s One titles I recognize. It’s nice to see them there, I don’t know how much exposure they’ll get overall but the fact that such titles are found in a mainstream chain store gives me a warm fuzzy. Now we just got to see if we can get PeaPri games in a few chain stores as well…
Heh, well the Waldenbook by my place actually put together a manga section, so Sarai is up there sitting next to a whole bunch of Sailor Moon books. (So people will see it, don’t know what they’re reactions going to be though.) The Walden by work put them in the gift book section up front by the registers.
Did stop by the comic book shop today and I did present to them the idea of carry the games as well but I need to talk to the owner. We’ll see how that goes.
And, interestingly enough, while I was there, I went through the art books and found one for ‘Little My Maid’! (Which I immediately had to buy of course… ) Hopefully the game won’t get spoiled for me from the art. (It’s a sure bet that with my Japanese language skills that I won’t READ any spoilers. ) Guess this’ll have to tide me over till next summer when the game comes out… (Assuming the wait doesn’t kill me… )
Oh, I think I know which image you’re talking about, but I accidentally watched the whole demo thingy so I knew about that one. And various people have kept hinting about it. That’s enough to get my subconcious working on it anyways, that’s how I figured out the “surprise” in Sixth Sense ending. But you couldn’t really expect me to pass up a chance to get the art book now could you?
KEEN! Waldenbooks is selling manga again!
Well… from what I remember Waldenbooks was more likely to seel a whole slew of variety of types of books.
Anyway, for anyone who is interested, Maico 2010 is a lot of fun to read. I just finished getting the set from Peach Princess.
On another positive side, Blockbuster Video (a chain video-rental store for our Oversees buddies) is carrying a lot of the TokyoPop anime DVDs. I saw place holders for Kaori Saint Tail, Sailor Moon (I know it’s not TokyoPop, but I did see it), VPM TV, and something else that I can’t remember, but the cover had a cute girl in a witches outfit, with one of those big hats. I also saw a goodly amount of ADV titles there too (Bubblegum Crisis 2040 and Sakura Diaries too.
Now, I’ve never been very fond of Blockbuster, as they were notorious for editing sections out of VHS movies they held, but this is kinda keen to see all the new anime DVDs start showing up there. So… someone at TokyoPop and ADV are doing their homework.

Our store sells the manga titles you got, so there is still hope for this kind of industry in the future, I guess .
