New titles from Right Stuf

Hey all, found this out from Anime-on-DVD. It would be kinda keen if the adult entertainment industry starts to help dubs of bishoujo and erotic anime. Though I must disagree with Chris Beveridge’s calling them "hentai."

Friday, May 4th, 2001

New title announcements (04:24 PM EST): The people at Nutech Digital have acquired some new hentai anime and are releasing it in singles and box sets. Shusaku Box Set 1-4 is due on 6/30/2001 for 79.99$ and Inmu Box Set 1-2 is due on 6/30/2001 for 39.95$. The individual discs retail for 24.95$ so the boxes are a bit of a deal. The kicker? According to the information posted about it at Right Stuf, they’re dub only. Can you guess what I’m not going to bother picking up? And if you believe Nutech’s release date, you’ll note that their January solicitation for Votoms is now five months late.

Friday May 5th

Hentai update (08:09 AM EST): A bit more information has come in this morning regarding the Shusaku and Inmu titles listed yesterday. Still no information on whether they’ll be bilingual, but it appears these Pink Pineapple anime shows may have something different - actual adult movie actresses portraying some of the characters. According to the sell sheet, Asia Carrera and Rayveness will be participating and the box art shows pics of them on the cover as well. Finally, hentai with proper sounding dubs? You be the judge!

Is Shusaku a PinPai anime based on an Elf game of the same name? Of a man working as janitor in a girl’s dorm or something like that? (Or am I confusing it with Isaku?)

BTW, I just visited PinPai’s web page, and, on it’s front page, it mentions the release of Buttobi!! CPU on DVD on May 25th. Now… Who will release it first? The Region 1 or Region 2 DVDs? (I pre-ordered Buttobi!! CPU R-1 with Amazon and they haven’t shipped it yet)

Odd. I checked RightStuf’s web page as well as Anime-on-DVD, and I didn’t find any reference of another delay. There we go again…

I checked PinPai’s web page again, this time looking for Shuusaku. They list several titles (including one called Replay), including a DVD Box. However, it was a bit “dark” for me… Not sure if I will get it…

C’mon, pushing the original release date == delay! Besides, it was Kumiko-san who wrote “Buttobi!! CPU DVD was delayed - Right Stuf had problems, and the release date is scheduled for next month.”

I would like to subscribe to the newsletter, however, it is doubtful I will take advantage of the discounts when the shipping is $15.00 for the first item.

OK, back to the topic, so we have Isaku and Shuusaku… Hmmmm… It makes me wonder, how many KSS/PinPai titles have been brought to the US? We have already:

End of Summer (Doukyuusei)
First Loves (PinPai Original Kakyuusei, unrelated to Elf’s Kakyuusei)
Shuusaku
Can Can Bunny
Dragon Knight 1 & 2
Buttobi!! CPU

Can somebody continue this list?

According to a RightStuf CR they told me that Buttobi!! CPU is out of stock is shoud be getting another shipment in 10-14 buisness days. That was a week ago.

I just recieved a card from Right Stuf today stating that Buttobi CPU is avialable 4/30/01 and that Mail Order Maiden 28 4/24/01. CPU is 17+ and 28 is 18+.

Did not order yet. Just recieved the postcard from Right Stuf with dates available. it does not show when they mailed it out.
