This doesn’t appear to be fixed yet–and it’s killing the board. Not to mention I’ve seen people on other boards complaining about it.
I’ve turned registration back on while we test some fiendishly clever new captcha challenges. Please tell people who’ve been looking to register.
They might keep the bots at bay for a while, but once the bots have been programmed to clear those tests then it’s back to square one.
Killing the board to prevent spam is throwing the baby out with the bath water. New users generate discussion. But more importantly, the board is here for user feedback. It’s bad for business if new users can’t post (especially in the technical support section).
Well, the new questions appear to be working so far. Let’s hope it stays that way. Otherwise we’ll have to figure out how to move the forum to a new system or something.
