Now, this was strange

One ything that worries me, through, is that it looks like it's a sci-fi title, and so, there is, for sure, lots of sci-fi stuff in the dialouges and stuff there, and it might be quite complex for a beginner >_<. But aside fom that, it sounds like a farirly good game

I enjoyed it foremost because of Arusia-chan... She's sooooo cute! "Goshujin-sama!"
As for the language complexity, errrr, I don't remember anything particularly difficult... Well, nothing you can't find in a good dictionary, at least!
Oh, and the game is full-voiced BTW.

BTW, the bad ending is, well, quite sad if you came to like Arusia-chan during the game... ;_;

EDT: BTW, if you go to evolution's page, you'll notice they made two other "Machine Maiden" games. The first sequel is a Visual Novel narrating the story of Cynthia (the other android) and her responsible, Ryo (the rival of your protagonist in the 1st game). The second sequel is apparently a SIM as well. Don't know much about this one...

"Good dictionary", hih? A dictinary can be good, but still... Well, I have an english dictionary of my own that I use when I encounter an english word I'm unfamiliar with, but there are times when it can't answer every question. When that happens, I go to my english teacher, she has this BIG dictionary that feels like it weighs a ton, that can find msot things. For example, some months ago, I encountered the word "roly-poly" while reading a book. My own dictionary couldn't answer that, but my techer's dictionary could... And besides, Olf-san, you've studied Japanese way longer than me, so from your point of view, it might not be that difficult ^^;.

I'll be careful when I get the game, then ^_^. Hmm, if I'm going to be able to afford all those titles, I'd better start saving my money... And it hink it'd be a very good idea to wait untill summer Break, anyway, because that when the beak's here, I'll have all time in the world to both study Japanese and play the games ^_^.

Aha! I guess that you go re-interested in the sequel because of this discussion, ne? ^_^

Well, if he does, he is not the only one who becomes interested in these titles because of this discussion.

However, I just looked at himeyas page for Machine Maiden and couldn't find Evolution between their makers starting with E, so where would you order it then instead?

So, I postponed it into next year and made my order for this month without it (yay, the CROWD-album is now really for sale!).

Heh, probably not. It's not the first, nor the last time that someone here have gotten interested in a game becuase that the game was talked about here .

Good for you ^_^. So, how long time does it take for the games to arrive from Himeya? Oh, and when you get the gampes, please work very hard on them .

Using the shipping-method, I have selected (EMS) it usually takes a week and 1-2 days.

Will do, but until then, all of the already arrived games are more than enough to keep me busy (there is one other truly brilliant game that came together with "Wind of Ebenbourgh". Since it deserves special attention I refuse to start playing it with all the others also waiting.)

Heh, just don't "overwork" yourself with all those games . But what is that brilliant game?

If you really want to know: Canvas.

*blushes* In the "Momiji" demo, you can chose the way the girl calls you... I hesitated between "Onii-chan" and "Goshujin-sama"... Chose the latter finally.

I found her chara design, personality and voice ubercute. But it's only my opinion. For instance, someone I won't name may say she doesn't have oppai.

This MT thread is talking about J-E dictionaries used by professional translators.

Well... I didn't play them... (^^;;;; The second sequel seems less interesting though (okay, only for the CG parts; none of the sequels are drawn by Carnellian, but the first follows his style )

. Well, I don't blame you for
choosing that. Who could resist being called that? . But, what kind of game is Momiji? According to a net-dictionary I just checked, that word means "Maple"...

. I wouldn't say that it matters much... but then, again, that might be just me who think so .

Thanks .). That thread might be helpful later, if I need to buy a dictionary (since I might get one for Christmas, I'll wait and see..)

I see . Well, that happens with some games, I suppose ... But how come that he didn't make that game too? He didn't want to?

I don't order through Himeya for some time now... For games, I'm using Akibado: you have to email them what you exactly want, but their prices and postage fees are lower than Himeya.

Which version? The DVD one, probably?

Thanks. That looks like an interesting alternative to himeya.

You're right about that: The DVD-version. Has the CD-version any features, I am now missing? I just didn't see the point, paying that one US$ more for the CD-version.

A cheaper alternative might be welcome. I just went over to Himeya to take a look at their prices for future consideration, and, well... they're quite expensive! Of all the games mentioned above and elsewhere, Blood Royal seems to be the least expensive of those... Hmm...

*sighs* Very famous and one of the latest big hit of F&C. The original PC CD release was released on 2000.11.24, then a DC release by NEC International was released on 2001.4.5 with a new winnable character and F&C released the DVD version of the PC game (with the new character, but this time you can make love to her ) on 2001.11.22.
In a nutshell, you're an artist student painter who lost your "touch" to draw... Will a girl you met bring you back that inspiration?

EDT: I forgot. An OVA series was also made by Lemon Heart. Two volumes.

Oooops! I hope, olf didn't see that!

He already told me (and had a quite valid point there) that the price, I payed Himeya for Blood Royal is a rip-off.
It is quite lower than the average price of games at Himeya, but compared to the original Price from Cherry-Soft (2800 yen) still a bit much.

That answers my question as well:
I didn't miss anything, but got another winnable character.

Didn't you d/l the playable demo which link I gave you in the chat? Well, in a nutshell, it's a ren'ai maid ADV (official page here), whose key feature would be Koorogi Satomi as the main female character's seiyuu.

Really? Hmm, so you can't order from Himeya without getting ripped off?

Hmm, I guess that I forgot about it ^^;. All of those have to be downloaded?

*major bigsweats*
It's the download page of Marigold, so it contains all of Marigold's download. As far as Momiji is concerned, you have the main download site and all the mirrors... So, no, you don't have to download from all the mirror sites... ^^;;;;;
