Nurses from Will

http://www.getchu.com/soft.phtml?id=16364

Take a look.

If it’s true thay have an agreement only with Will and Crowd, then this game is in their range of action. What do you think about it?

The game, i mean.

The graphics look fairly nice, though I can’t say the premise looks terribly interesting.

Edit: I was wrong. The game was re-released as a DVDPG.

After looking through all of Will’s subsidiaries, here’s the best-looking game I could find: http://www.getchu.com/soft.phtml?id=33141

Look like a high school romance ADV.

well i hate to pop the balloon so to speak, but…

it’s by ruf right?
fyi, slave bazaar is by ruf as well

…well, go figure, you do the math :stuck_out_tongue:

Cute! I think the characters look underage but could easily “pass for 18.” So Peapri can’t get ruf titles, but what about Spirit Speak titles? crosses fingers

Hm.

If you guys ever translate Anonono, I’d definitely buy it. ^_^;;

Hm, that IS a nice picture…too bad about the label thing.

Oh, so PP doesn’t have Will-Ruf enlisted? So sad…

Oh well, yet another reason to learn japanese, i suppose…

PS 'bout yur houses, apart of Crowd and Sweet Basil… please refresh us our memories, Lamu-sama, what names were on your list?

Peach Princess can't do Ruf titles? If they're a subsidiary of Will, why not?

Yeah, I like that picture too. Here's another one I like:

I suspect the "looks underage but passes for 18" is a main reason I like the game. ^_^

The game Italicus posted is by Ruf. The game I posted is from Spirit Speak. The picture bishounen_blue posted is from the game made by Spirit Speak.

Of course, even if the pics are nice, you can't tell if the story's any good. But nice pics are a good start, anyway. It helps that I'm rather fond of high school romances in general.

The story probably isn’t going to be out of this world or anything, but I’d buy it for sure. Getchu’s page says the genre is ¬äw¬â¬Ä-√∂¬à¬§¬É¬ä¬Év¬É¬å¬ÉCADV. So that’s “Gakuen Renai Replay ADV” = “School Love Replay Adventure.” Any renai game with nice artwork that gets translated is an automatic purchase for me.

That’s like saying that you buy any game with good graphics… Not a good rule, IMO.

Ah, I was wondering how long it would take Benoit to chime in with his standard response. 58 minutes…not bad, not bad. I’ve still got the LMM mousepad at the ready, so don’t even try it.

Well, Benoit, a good story is not enough to create a good b-game.

As the proverb says, " The eye too wants its part". It means estetic sense has to be satisfied, too.
Sure, i agree with you, this is not enough to create a good game. Do you remember my rants about how much silly Kango series seems to me?

( DS, this was on long, loong time before V-Mate, so don’t worry… Kango was and currently is my personal pet peeve to shot at, even more then Tokimeki. )

Shoot at DOR instead.

Yes, the eye wants something too, but think of the mind.

First of all, I'm talking only about the really small English market, not the Japanese game market. I like renai games, and there aren't many available in English. If a renai game gets translated, and it has good graphic, I'm going to buy it. I mean, I've bought plenty of so-so games with so-so graphics just because they were English games. They were pretty good, but I'd never buy them if I had the whole selection from the Japanese market. I see nothing wrong with buying a newly translated renai game with good graphics even without knowing the story, because more often than not I enjoy renai games.

I never tire of this debate.

You can’t have a good b-game without attractive girls. It’s even in the definition.

Don’t tell me that you actually expect to learn valuable life lessons from b-games. Personally, I’m not too keen on anime, for example, that feels like it’s trying to “teach” me something. In H-games, I look for good story and characterization, for the most part, because it helps build the mood. Well, I also just like a good story. But if I just wanted a good story, I could read a book or play a good RPG. I look for other elements in H-games, and exceedingly cute girls are a definite prerequisite.

I take it that DS means me? I haven’t played any games from the Kango series, so I can’t comment. I’ve stayed away from it due to such opinions, though. For some reason plots based on deflowering nurses and nuns don’t particularly appeal to me, in any case. Replace them with high school girls and I’m good to go though, for some reason.

With something for the mind I meant an actual story, or characterization.

In other words, not just sex just for sex, too fluffy stuff, etc.

looks up from half-finished title

Yes, but remember that sometimes you have to support the not-so-great art so that better art can be purchased for future projects!

(I really do spend just about everything I make on my games trying to get content for more games. Would LOVE to have super-gorgeous artwork… now find me an incredibly talented artist who will literally work for peanuts? I’ve got enough trouble now that you people insisted I have to have a soundtrack!)

PeaPri has had certain troubles from Ruf with Slave Bazaar, from what I understand. So, I'd imagine that they'd rather not risk trying with another of their games.

On the other hand, Anonono is Spirit Speak's only game, so there isn't any prior bad history with them...

::hopehopehope::

So Anonono is the name of the game, huh? Don’t tell me that actually translates to Ah no, no, no…^_^;

Why? DOR can be counted as a game?
