Oh, how nice

… Yet another Mahoromatic bishoujo game by Gainax, it seems http://comike.entame.net/soft.phtml?id=16414

Not really a gaem,per se.
But a “digital asscessory” where there’s voice data, screen savers, wallpapers and a few mini games thrown in.

Gainax is the only anime company/producer that is milking as much profit as possible from their copyrighted characters,it seems as you can see how many franchise they have spawn off from their EVA characters even though EVA is long dead and buried six feet under in Japan

And that's a bad thing? My question is two-fold: is it bad that Gainax is trying to get every last drop from their characters; is it bad that EVA is dead?

well, getting as much profit is okey but I consider EVA as a masterpiece... would you actually destroy your own masterpiece? I think they can always find another way of making money.

Well, I see nothing wrong with the fact that they are trying to “milk out” whatever they can from their characters and everything else copyroighted by them, as long as they does it in a good way and doesn’t overdo it .

Besides, anyone here who hav played Girlfriend of Steel (made by Gainax)?

Just how old is Evangelion anyway?

OK,tell me,which decent anime company/producer will publish H-games/soft of their own copyrighted characters ? I can think of none except Gainax who have release Strip Mahjong Games with EVA and Gunbusters Charas as well as Calendar with ero-arts of EVA charas.

And EVA had been around since 1995 and it had officially end in 97/98 with the release of Death amd Rebirth/EoE movies but Gainax refuse to let it die gracefully by releasing even more EVA stuffs in this year of 2002,trying to cheat fans of their money.

I share your sentiment.

I have. Oh so many years ago. Entertaining enough, but not much else beyond that. (Well, okay, that new girl was cute.)

I do agree aboout that. I doubt that End of Eva would have been made, had it not been for the demand of the fans. And today, fans still demands that Gainax make something more to add to the EVA series...

Oh, okay... I've heard alot about that game, and it sounds kinda like a dating visual novel in many aspects. I heard that it even has multiple endings... Hmm, I wonder what kind of response it would receive if it was released here in the west, where the "eva hysteria" is more alive than anywhere else, since the serie is "newer" here in the west).

You're talking about the American fans, aren't you? The Japanese fans have moved on to greener pastures.

Heh, yeah, mostly the American fans. Evangelion is quite "new" in the states and the rest of the world except for Japan, so it's no small wonder that the serie is getting lots of attention here. But I don't believe that the attention of Evangewlion had died out in Japan, at least not complettely (why else would they still be making stuff over there?).

Hmm, speaking about EVA fans, have you heard about what some of them do? They swear to never watch another anime than Evagelion, since they calm that they don't want to lose their love for it. Now, that's scary , but fortunately enough, it seems to work the other way around instead .

*shrugs*

People do stupid things all the time. On the scale of "stupid things I know of", this is actually kind of on the lowish end of things.

What kind of love for their favourite anime might this be, if it had to been taken care of in this manner?

Becoming ignorant to other works, just out of fear they might be really better has to be called "bakabakabaka".

Don't you mean "Baka. Minna baka"? .

I lost track of how many variations she has, but I believe the one I quoted is the one she uses the most. Of course, I could always go with Kia Asamiya's manga version, who states quite blandly, "Aho rashii." I don't believe there was a variation on that.
