No english version as far as I know. As for the second question, I have already the odd feeling for yet-another-long post...

Himeya sells Win98J OEM version for US $179.00. At that price you could easily buy an OEM copy of WinXP Pro edition (however, you may need to buy a new hard driver/mobo, in order to sell it to you.)

OEM or better known as white-board versions can only be sold at the moment that you buy your computer hardware, it can't be sold standalone (legal issues). Otherwise, you will have to buy the full retail box version which will aprox. cost you the price of a HD and the WinXP OEM!

There are two OVAs, one made by Pink Pineapple, and one made by Green Bunny. The former is called Pia Carrot he Youkoso! 2 (and is available in the US, courtesy of NuTech); the later is called Pia Carrot he Youkoso!! 2DX. Unlike the PinPai version, the DX has no nudity, AFAIK. And, finally, the PinPai version consists of three volumes (or, if you plan to go for the R2 Japanese without subs, one DVD with the three volumes), and the DX are made of 6 volumes (R2 Japanese only).

hmm i’d buy the retail box of win98J it’d make a change from the “few” oem i have of all o/s’s

if i have to buy a new pc to get W98J i’ll just have to order one when the funds endup in my pocket

which is the better oav to go for? do any of the r2’s have subs? or do i stick with R1?

hmm is PC2 H or non-H cos me play it for few hrs now an aint found ne thin intrestin cept 4 de gfx which be V.Nicely done (i must be doin something wrong)

TraitorHunter-san, just a note: some members of the BBS don’t have English as their primary language. Therefore, they have trouble understanding English slang and such… For instance, I may be able to answer your question, but then I don’t understand it…

If you have 2 hard drives TraitorHunter and you are considering picking up W98J I would just recommend setting up a dual boot. Its very easy to do. Just install W98J on one hard drive and once its installed from inside of W98J install either Win2k or WinXP and select install on a different drive and it will set up the dual boot for you. One thing to remember be sure to configure your recycle bins for independent Hard drives otherwise you might get some errors when you delete something in one OS and not empty your trash then go to the next and delete something. I have W98J dual booting with Win2k and am very pleased with it, also makes writing my mini quizzes a breeze since it includes IME for writing Hirgana/Katakana/Kanji in word. Plus if you are interested in reading Japanese using the OS everyday can help. Also I picked up my copy from himeya the $179.00 OEM version and had no probs with it. Good Luck

You may want the first story first, though. The first OVAs are also available.

We carry both the first and second Pia Carrot OVA series. In fact, this month we are offering a special set - you can get PIa Carrot 2 vols. 1-3 plus Snow Drop for only $79.95, which is a really awesome price! (retail for this combo would be $95!)

All of Pia Carrot is very pretty and funny, as well as romantic (in the best sense.) It's not really dramatic, but it's nice.
