Pictures from Peach Princess's games

I just found a site where a guy has a very large amount of pictures from a lot of games, among them Crowd and Peach Princess games. But he doesn’t say a word about who’s owning them or who has created the pictures. He haven’t said if he’s using those pictures from Tokimeki, X-change, X-change 2 and a lot of other games with your (or Crowds) permission either… I messaged him about the whole thing and asked him to at least ask the creator or the owners of the game before he puts the pictures at his page… If he still won’t ask you or say a word about who those picures and games actually belongs to, should I report him and his page to the webmaster??? it is, after all, a very large amount of pictures (I think he for example has almost all of the pictures in Tokimeki Check-in there… both sexual scenes CG and other pictures. and that should not be alowd, should it, since it would spoil much for those who hasan’t played the game yet. And to lay out ALL of the pictures at the net is, in my opition, almost the same as offering the game as a pirated copy).

I agree with that . By the way, anyone who've ever thought of that the fight against the pirates are a loonely one? It seems that almost everytime when I try to talk some sense in a pirate, everybody selse just cheers for the pirate and throws rotten tomatoes on me, so to speak? For example, at the Anime Nations forum (which are supposed to be "free" of pirates, when there instead are TONS of pirates there), where i'm debatting agaist this guy, most of the spectators there seems to be cheering for the pirates and thinking that "That spectator beholder is petty stupid - of course it's not illegal to pirate games" or things like that... for example here's the disussion between me and the webmaster of this site i reported to the webmaster earlier today:

He: I gotta stop pluggin my site if anyone here is gonna like me (he puts out his site)

Me: Hmm, since you've got quite a lot of pictures from games that belongs to Crowd and Peach Princess, I have to ask you if you asked for their permission in using those pictures, or did you simply put them up? Otherwise, you aren't allowed to keep those pictures up, since they do not belong to you. and that does also show that you have no respect for neither the creators of those games, nor the artists who created those pictures (IF you haven't asked their permission, that's it).

He: That's like saying a fan site is not respectful to it's subject, however I dont feel like discussing this in a public forum -if you have issues, email me (His e-mail adress) I'll be glad to humor you with a response.

Me: Why don't you want to disucss it at a froum? Nothing wrong with it... Fansites are allowed to keep up a limted number of pictues, but not ALL of them. And they also do have to ask permission from the original creator of those pictures before using his/her pictures, as you may know... There's a very thin line between being a pirate and being a fan - and you're walking a dangerous walk between that line right now. If you DO ask Peach Princess or Crowd about getting their permission and they grant you it, then that's fine, since you are allowed to use those pictures, then... but as long as you use the pictures without their permission, you're doing something illegal.

He: You can beat the horse all day for all I care. Being a hentai webmaster for a few years, I've heard it all. If you'd like to have a nice tame dicussion over the subject, please go ahead and drop an email in my inbox. I have learned my lesson in the past and wont post my opinion in an open forum like this. Do you want to persue this with your own speculations which may or may not be true, or can you be mature enough to trade a few lines regarding the subject?

Other people: "Well said man , Well said" "I see those pictures at losts of different websites anyway, so what does it matter?"

As I said, a loonely fight

But it's kind of funny that he thinks of himself as a "hentai-webmaster"... "perverted webmaster", indeed

I think all around the world people are pretty woefully inadequate in their understanding of intellectual property rights. Don’t blame them, since when was the last time you saw a pirate being punished severely for what he did? part of the reason is these intellectual property crime doesn’t cause visible damage that is physically discernible except to the person or entity whom the damage is done. It’s a tough cause, and I commend everyone for taking up the good fight. But realize this: current legislature is ill prepared to punish (although I prefer rehabilitation over punishment) these crimes because they are what’s called ‘non-violent crimes’ or ‘propertyless damage’. Crimes like these, white collar ones like embezzlment comes to mind, don’t get punished nearly enough to match the crime, when one can argue these crimes actually cause more property damage in the form of dollars siphoned away from companies, investors, it could be one of you. Unless attitudes change toward non-violent, propertyless crimes, pirates will be let off with a slap off the hand and without reprimand. What’s most important is to educate, not punish, and it should be everyone’s responsibility.

What in the world is this guy talking about? Learning his lesson and still continues to do what he did wrong? And refuses to talk in public... I think he's just trying to hide/avoid you Spec.

Remember that most people, especially newcomers, don't want to pirate, and won't intentionally do so. They just don't know, so it's important to help them learn and be a concerned and caring consumer.

Well, I'm doing my best to make them aware of the situation... But I don't know if i'm making a difference or not in this (but I hope so ). By the way, nice to see you at the forums of Anime Nation, Kumiko .

You’re right about that . Anyway, the other hot debatte with the other pirate I spoke about in another post is still going… last time I posted there, I told them some things about Peach Princess and some other things - one of those other things I told them were that if they isn’t happy with the prices as they are now, they could always buy the games used, since used games are a lot cheaper - and they usually have better quality than pirated copies of the games (and by doing that, I told them, they’d still support the genre and buying them legaly). Still haven’t heard any “Thank you for the information” or something like that through, only recreÌved a message from the stubbornest of those guys, who hurrls insults at me by calling me a “narrow-minded fanatic that should be ignored” and other things .

Oh, and about AN, I’ll keep an eye ont he posts to make sure that the pirates doesn’t try to sneak into the forum and spread their links anyway .
