It’s really sad that Gamespot and E3 act this way towards bishoujo gaming…
But I understand their point of view (not that it means that it’s right): They are very afraid of the consequences that this action could bring…
Let’s admit it: most people still consider that this kind of product is “evil”…
There is a TV show here in Portugal called “Gregos e Troianos”, which translates as “Greeks and Troojans”, in which there are always two sides (one for “Yes” and one for “No”) that argue amongst themselves… The spectators may also participate (both the ones in the studio or by phone and SMS)…
The theme in last week’s show was Sex… Throughout most of the program, the people on the side of “No” (the only reasonable person there was a lady) kept on bashing homossexual people, sex-shops, pornography, etc, claiming that it was evil, dangerous, unnatural, etc…
We really have a big problem with this sort of thing in our society… One of the things that bothers me the most is that here in Portugal we use a word that means gay as a one of the most common insults… This is terribly wrong!
Well, I am drifting from my main point: Most people are against this kind of stuff, so the companies are afraid of loosing those same persons… Sad, but true…
Excuse me if I was unclear in what I wrote here, but I tend to mess up when talking about things that bother me…
