Poll - artform preference

I will discard #5 as it is dependant of the previous four. Yes, you have a model, but what does it represent? I won’t comment that much on #4, as I haven’t seen any live-action bishoujo movies; the closest thing was a review on Tokimeki Memorial and, because of it’s popularity, spanned a live-action movie. That leaves us with three options.

Of the three, it is a close call between the game and the anime. The reason is the constrain the animators has on the anime (you can’t explore all the paths a game has), yet, the animator can show us different situations in a singular storyline. Of course, I wish I could play some games right now (Elf, F&C, et al) and fully understand it…

Kumiko-san: real-life person who look like anime girl??? You should post it here, and we will judge it!

well… this is my cent… (i’m saving the others so i can buy PeaPri’s games )
according with my preferences… this is the order:
-2
-1
-3
… that’s all… the other two… tsk tsk… better leave them away

#3. Manga and Doujinshi…some Dojin Soft(most of it is just CG on a Disc some are mini advs and Puzzles etc.
I preffer these cause you dont have to struggle to see the art ^_^;; Even if you don’t know Japanese…Jus’ turn the page LOL

well, you remmeber me

i want the development of a cross dimensional 2D/3D hybrid form

for dynamic interaction in games

probably something along the lines of voxels…since they resemble 2D pixels already…

I like games that have 2D characters with 3D backgrounds.

Hmmmmmmm…

Art form preference…well…hmmmmmm…that poses quite a dilemma…

I really do not know if I will choose #2 over #1…let us say that each has his own advantages…well… …duh, Quintessence…O_o

Well, it is quite nice that I could see some of the characters…to whom I am quite attached…to come to life…and that is a really big plus…I spend a lot of my money renting those movies in the past…However…japanese animation is quite abundant in my place, including bishoujo-types…I got a provider who has a specialized store and let me rent those movies for 2.50$…well…3.00 if it’s new…arrrgh…><…he increased the prize…the rent is supposed to range from 1.50$ to 2.50$…Just bcuz he knows he monopolizes mostly all of the anime products… …good businessman…Anyway, a movie explores only one path, just like what fxho said…Also…the protagonist does not always ends up with my favorite girl…And sometimes…a movie ignores some elements of the story that are found originally in the game…

Now…just like the others who responded before me…I think that interaction is the reason I enjoy the games…I got complete control…I could explore the diverse paths…And end up with the girl I really like…Besides, there are only a few english games out there…I have to practically search like a madman…just so…I could find a provider…You could say that games are like a treasure to me…At least I got Peapri after Himeya became…less active in the english bishoujo games…Well…I would not have known about Peapri if Kumiko had not posted that super-long text…Nooooo…I am not ignoring Jast…It is just that…I think they are having problems…

So…I think I will choose the two artforms…

Oh, well…very indecisive…v ^^

Hmmmmmm…

Well…I will not count that out, Nobody…or light must be referring to the game Words worth…

Could light enlighten us…^^…errrrrrrr…You are still there, right…@@…Are you…

Oh well…v

Do we have to pick only one?

I’d have to say that 1, 2 and 3 are all in a dead heat for me. To me, it more depends on what available funds I have.

I like playing games, interacting with the characters, and unlocking the secrets.

I like watching shoujo and bishoujo anime; especially if it’s based on a game that I’ve played or seen. That way I can see how the artists and story-writers tacked the “multiple story paths” issue.

I also like reading the manga… I just like reading in general, and shoujo/bishoujo manga has some very subtle imagry used in it.

So, overall, since I enjoy shoujo and bishoujo stuff, I’d have to say 1, 2, and 3.

You can never spend enough time, money or heart on a girl. Right Kumiko?
