Now here’s a movie kickstarter that I must say is at least worth looking at (talking about the trailer):
Now here’s an aspect of the console war I can get interested in:
I see by my calendar that today-- Jan 13-is Coming of Age day in Japan; the day when everyone who has or will attain twenty years of age this year become adults officially. It’s the day when all the twenty-somethings are rounded up and subjected to boring lectures from old men and extremely juvenile behaviors from some of the attendees. It’s a favorite day of mine, tho, because of all the girls who will be parading around in beautiful kimonos that their parents spent a small fortune on. Last year, I recall, there was a bit of a stink, because of some girls who came out in Oiran-style kimonos reminiscent of Edo’s traditional prostitutes. What could they have been thinking?
You know how in those old SFpulps the covers often depicted some scantily-clad doll in a space helmet being carried away by a hideous bug-eyed monster? By now there must be a lot of BEMs with bad backs out there. I’ve picked the Wife up a few times and it didn’t do my back a whole lot of good, let me tell you.
How’s that for a random thought?
A while ago read that in prehistoric Japan (at least until mid Kofun period) people used to dismember skeletons a few years after their burial, so as to confirm their status as dead and prevent resurrection. So now my headcanon is that undead were an actual menace at that time.
For what reason does a refrigerator need to be hooked up to the Internet?
So I can tell it to Fast Freeze my dacquiri before I head home from work, so it’ll be all super icy when I get home and want to play eroge.
that’s seriously the only use case I can think of
I’m surprised it took so long for this Google Glass app to be made:
Bought myself a .500 S&W. As much as I love twincest, do NOT dual wield with this handgun. Repeat: do not dual wield.
Also if you’re gonna shoot one, for the love of God use 350 grain. Anyone poping 700 grain is just insane.
From what I’ve read, 300 and 350 are the optimal. Going to the 400+ stuff doesn’t have more velocity or energy.
Looks like one thing from Star Wars is now reality:
Makes perfect sense
His research is flawed. This also applies to males as well:

Americans are just too blind to accept the truth of it.
It’s taken 4.54 billion years, but the Earth finally has Pole Dancing Robots:

Science is fucking awesome!!!
There’s a crowdfunder for a Shaq Fu sequel:
Will it have old and out-of-shape Shaq as a playable character?
Over the weekend I saw Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl. I’m slowly working my way through Yoshihiro Nishimura’s body of work, but so far all I’ve seen has been Tokyo Gore Cop and Mutant Girl Squad and this one. I plan on seeing Machine Girl next-right after I watch Rin, Daughters of Mnemosyne for the third time–I really should buy it, don’t you think? Anyway, my impressions of Vampire Girl: It’s pretty funny and wildly offensive. Also, I think they used up every drop of Max Factor number 5 Blood in Japan. Also, there’s some guy in Kabuki make-up whose over the top, dumb-ass acting made the movie remind me of a sort of extended skit like those that used to be put on by late night horror movie hosts that used to be on TV-you know, like the Ghoul?. That is to say, I think that as a director, Nishimura is pretty flat-footed, but that works for this guro stuff. I’ll tell you though, what really made the movie for me (well, in addition to Yuki the vampire girl) was Sayaka Kametani as the evil pheromone-charged Nurse Midori. I think I may be in love, because I’ve spent the whole day trying to find naked pictures of her on the internet. I have to wonder how real school nurses feel about the way they are portrayed in manga, anime, eroge and movies like this (that is, if they’re even aware of it). Real nurses in Japan are really just under-paid public servants who wear sensible shoes instead of stiletto heels and seldom dress in tight white mini-skirts and jump on everyone who wanders into their office, but we can dream, can’t we?
