Quite successful.
As an example of Mink's hardcore content, they are the ones who created the game "Yakin Byouto" (Night Shift Hospital) a few years ago. It has been adapted to an OVA series - CPM's Anime 18 label will be releasing the OVAs retitled "Night Shift Nurses"... with 20 minutes edited out due to the hardcore nature of the content. It's not their fault - people need to demand that the laws get changed so companies don't have to do this type of thing.

I have an artbook that covers some of Mink's games (It has a pink haired cat girl on the cover). It covered Gokko and Wonpara. Shame the book wasn't it color. :-( Is there an artbook for Yakin Bokou and how hard core is this thing (I'm not a fan of the extreme stuff).
For those of you who may not know about the game, here’s a link to Mink’s website:
http://www.mink.co.jp/lineup/princess_knights/
Most of the content is in Japanese, but there are a few screenshots and promotional art in the “Story”, “Knights”, “System” and “How to Play” sections (scroll down to the bottom for links).

Yes, there is an artbook for this game:

Yakin Byoto is pretty hardcore ^_^;
(S&M, Forceful stuff etc...)
Almost all other games by Mink have artbooks.
Some seen here:

So far I have the Pero2 Candy one, it's pretty good.

Looks like a bishoujo Final Fantasy Tactics.
Thanks for the info about the game .). A quite suiting name, too, since “every girl is a princess!” as Kumiko says . Ah… But it kind of pains me to see a game like this… (another game that may never reach us…

I was just watching Red Dwarf yesterday during dinner and came across a rather inspiring scene when Kryten the android was picked up by David Lister:
Kryten: It's my garden, and I helped them grow. Silly, really...
Lister: No, no it's not! Find a planet with a breathable atmosphere and do it!
Don't despair at the current state of Bishoujo gaming. Instead, you have to look toward that dream, try to reach out and grab it. Help Bishoujo gaming grow by promoting the game through word of mouth.

I hope Peach Princess has the Pero2 (I just remebered I have a demo buried somewhere on my computer) manga and the Yakin artbooks. I hope there's an artbook for the maid game they have out (the CGs look like they were drawn by Yakin's artist).

Problem is, not many really listen. And those who do don't particularly want to be convinced. *Shrug* You know how it is.

Just to warn ya, those Paradigm books
(red ones that look to be manga) are actually Japanese novels. (Not graphic)
I made this mistake myself a while ago and ended up with 300 pages of Japanese text and 20 images or so inbetween. ^_^; (Still stuck with em actually lol)
So, those are just novels. They make them for several games and Animes that come out (Digi Charat, Brave Soul, Little My Maid etc..)
I guess I should edit this part of the post (lol) since I've already gotten several offers for the novels. *They have been sold*
Saying that I was stuck with them is simply cuz I can't read Japanese at all.
(some still think I can LOL don't know why)
Manga I can buy...but, (has about 300 pages of Images that I can maybe interpret)
A novel is pretty much a waste of $$ for me right now(lol).
But if I knew Japanese I'd have tons!
Cyaz!!
They do have an artbook for the Maid girl game. Tsubaki no Iro no Prisoner:

Know someone who wants to sell a bunch of her Bishoujo games, and she has Princess Knights. When asked about it, she had this to complain about Princess Knights: The cast is huge, so the voice acting suffered. That sounds like a shame, but I’m sure many gamers don’t care about voice acting as much as ‘gameplay’ in the FFT tradition.
Going to Katsucon this weekend, Bishoujos, here I come
I just order the Princess Knight from Himeya. I will have next week.

Well, i don't really despair ^^;;. but then again, it's kind of unaviodable to not feel depresed soemtimes becuase of this... I really long to see the day when we'll be able to see adult bishoujo gmaes comming into the West in the same amount as anime comes into the west today... but as Kumiko has point3ed out, there's the change of that we never see that day, and that's why I depair so now and then

That reminds me of that Macross book I have.
Some pictures but mostly stories in a language I can't read. I didn't think they would have novels for bishojo games.
I so want some of those novels, even if I can’t read them right now. There will be plenty of time later to read them when I become fully proficient in Japanese, but the time to get those novels is now before they disappear! Tokimeki Check-In has a novel or two, but I don’t know who would carry them…
Don’t forget, Bishoujo games are, after all, about the story. It boggles me that the description for Divi-Dead on one website zanzyg is ‘Not enough H in an H-game and too much game.’ Can’t please them all, I guess, the American H-gamers complain about too much story that gets in the way of their H enjoyment, and the non-H gamers complain that there’s too much H for them to enjoy the story. Don’t these people know you can have your cake and eat it too?

They don't think very much about the cake, I suppose . But then, again, there is some bishoujo games with enough of both to please both , but no one of these seems to hhave reached the West so far.

The complaint for MSG2 was "Not enough story compared to the fights" from the Japanese gamers and "Too much story between the fights" from the US gamers...
Well considering how well the Final Fantasy series has done in the US recently (starting with FFVII, FFIV/FFVI didn’t really become popular, even though they are argueably still the best FF’s), US gamers might be starting to appreciate a good story and characterization a little bit.
Hmm, I think no matter what balance between story and scenes a game eventually has, you just know somebody’s going to complain about it. Hmm, thinking about a Whose Line Is It Anyways? quote now. “9 out 10 people agree that the 10th person will always disagree with the other 9.”
