Question - bishoujo anime?

I think the keyword here is retail, as almost nobody, AFAIK, pays retail price anymore. Once the people is get used to not paying retail… Wait, you meant Region 1 DVDs, right? If it was Region 2 DVDs, except for used merchandise from Jungle (et al), pretty much everything is retail price!

I would very much be interested however I hope your not headed towards what Himeya was shooting for. I really think they should concentrate on bringing games over and not focus on becoming a retail store selling import oriented items.

I think that is a pretty good idea, that way will help you guys get some profit to sustain your business. Just hope that you don’t turn your backs on getting games over here just like Photek said.

I would also be interested in buying bishoujo anime.

I think selling Bishoujo DVD’s would be great. I don’t expect to life this close to Nikaku Animart forever. It would be nice to have one of the sites, I frequent regularly, to be selling anime I want to buy. I don’t usually buy anime online (though it would be quicker). I get more exercise and sunlight going into a store.

Kumiko-san, keep in mind, not all of us live in the US, so the Internet is almost the only way to get the DVDs… Anyway, thinking over it again, with snafus of some places where I have bought previously, I think I would consider buying it. Specially now that Kumiko-san mentioned about NuTech’s eventual release of PinPai titles!

I think from a business standpoint, Miss Kumiko, you guys needs to be practical first, before you can have the luxury to do anything else, I would think you need to set your feet on a stable ground before you can offer more services.

I’m interested, although I’d like to see what you guys would be offering.

Honestly… well I like the idea of having more stores to choose from on-line… but I feel that doing that might spread your resources too thin. I’d rather you spent your time/effort at getting as many bishoujo games out as you can. I’m sure that alone takes the lion’s share of time you have at Peach Princess what with QAing, testing, and simply translating

Mike

I for one am open to the concept of buying my anime and manga from Peach Princess, but the prices would have to be cheaper than they currently are. I was contemplating buying Critical Point, E’L, Strange Love, and Sheila’s Diary Volume #1 all from here, but found after computing tax, shipping, and the retail prices offered here I found I would be paying a great deal more than if I ordered: Critical Point (here ¬ñ free shipping), E’L and Strange Love (Anime Corner ¬ñ cheaper, no tax), and Sheila’s Diary V1 (http://www.bn.com ¬ñ with Reader’s Advantage and free shipping, and no tax). I’d much rather support Peach Princess than large corporate entities, but not at huge monetary costs.

Boy, talk about resurrecting an old thread…

It’s always a tough decision. Since Sept. 11th, the economy here in Hawaii has been really bad. And often I can get things cheaper from the mainland, even with shipping. But then I have to decide if it’s worth it to save a few bucks rather than spending that extra amount and supporting a local small business. Nobody ever said life was easy though…
