I AM IN NEW YORK AND I AM PISSED AND I AM ANGRY AND I AM SHOCKED!!!
I could see it burn from my place of business and am glad that I miss them falling. I have lived in NYC all my life and now something that I have lived with in the background of my life is gone.

I saw it on the news earlier. I really feel sorry about the people who died and their families.

At the 5:30pm pacific time Jorge Bush will speak in the TV and he will decide their will be war or not. Sorry people who live in New York City.

Well… I am okay… I am really mixing with angry and sad. Because I am living north of Canal Street. World Trade Center was locating south of Canal Street. As I witness last remaining of south tower collapsing after 5 pm. It was really scary. I was lucky that black smoking was halting more than 100 yards away where I stand. I thought I am dying, then I ran and never looking back. Finally I stopped next street and confused people did stopped. I cant hearing well because I am deaf.

I noticed south Chinatown is off limited as south Canal Street. I missed Chinatown Fair and import video game stores.

First of all, I like to offer my condolences to all those innocent people who got involved in the foolish bloddy act.
I first saw the newsflash of writings when I was watching Cartoon Network about the WTC but I thought it was an accident as it wasn’t said much. However, when I switched to local TV the whole stations in Australia were broadcasting this incident live throughout the night and afternoon (it’s even still on in every channel). I just want to say the people in Australia are also offering their condolences, in my uni today there was a picture of the WTC with flowers.
Let’s just hope this tragedy never happens again (in USA or any other country)

My condolences to those lost in such a horrific event. Although we live on the other side of the world. We kept talking about how such an event could happen. I never thought humans could ever do such a mass murder after the events of last millennium. Even on the streets, the people here in Hong Kong are asking how and who could do such a thing and what would happen in the future. What will Bush do?

Lucky one of my friends who lives in NY decided to work late otherwise he would had been in the middle of it. Although I can’t say for sure what happened to my other friend. Phones are jammed so can’t really contact her. (I was lucky to contact my first friend)

You can’t compare Pearl Harbour with this event. Pearl Harbour was an attack on Military base. This was an attack on citizens. And the attack was in traditional terrorist method. First attack to attract the rescuers and the second attack to cause maximum damage and hopefully take out the resucing people. (This case the firefighters)

I can believe this is the way we start the millennium.

I don’t think the fifty passengers could do anything because the aisles are so narrow so only 2 or 3 would’ve been able to fight off one terrorist with a knife and also these were highly skilled and trained terrorists. They even knew how to fly the plane and direct it right into the middle of the WTC. I doubt the passengers could do anything.

Sorry Kumiko, you are correct. I hate to think what the 747 could had done if the mission was a success. (either Camp David or The White House) Pentagon was also unbelievable. I always thought an attack there would be impossible given there is air traffic restriction there. And yes the events after Pearl Harbour was a disaster and this seems like a success to whatever group executed this attack.

What happened in DC and NYC in particular was pure madness--however well-planned it was....

From what I know islamic and muslim communities are already getting death threats in the States, but emotions are high right now, naturally.

One point though about CNN's coverage: the same video footage of Palestinians celebrating on the streets was played over and over again, and the PLO's spokeswoman had to literally plead on the show for viwers to understand that the scenes doesn't represent the entire palestinian population. CNN didn't pursue that further; the BBC did, whereby its correspondant admitted that the general palestinian was as shocked by the events as anyone else in the world.

Not saying who's right or wrong, but in times like this, it's hard to be rationale.

RonEX: I am glad that you are ok. I was up on Fifth Avenue in the fifties watching the Towers burn and could only wonder how far the smoke, ash, and dust had travel when they fell.
Kumiko: As you have said it was the World Trade Towers, if you go to FoxNews.com they have a list of the tenants and while I can not tell where all the companies were from, the english spelling of some does have an Asian look to them. Some even have the name of their countries in them: Hong Kong, China, Nippon, Thailand and Korea.
I also hope that Peach Princess will be able to come to New York for the BAAF, other wise the terrorist will have won in a small way.
As Nobody said, whenever a plane was hijacked it was always used as a bargaining chip for some demand or used to escape to a freindly country(Cuba, Libya). Never was it used in such a way as this. It is like the plot to some thriller that was written back in the 80’s or 90’s.
The U.S. must take step to insure that the people behind this are punished and that no harm comes to anyone who might be of the same religion or race, solely because they are of the same religion or race.
I find at this time, after rereading my post, thinking of Lincoln’s words in his Second Inauguration and how they can be used in some way as a guide to what we must do in the aftermath of this attack and when all those who were responsible are in prison:

"With malice toward none; with charity to all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nation’s wounds; to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and his widow, and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and a lasting peace, among ourselves, and with all nations."

There are many widows and orphans in New York City of thise who “borne the battle”. Over 200 fireman and 50 police man have lost their lives here because of this.

I do not know if everyone will agree with this but these are my hopes for the way I would like this to end

Whew that’s alot of reading, i’m sorry to say but didn’t read all of it cause i was drifting… Anyway i dunno if anyone said this yet but if i remember correctly (im kinda sleepy so forgive me), the plane that crashed into the pentegon was ment for the white house. Luckily President Bush wasn’t there at the time.

About people getting home from the area must have been hard, my aunt works right near the WTC. I think my mom said she had to walk home, not sure. But it took her around 6-8 hours to get home… mosly likely walking, but im glad she’s alright. Such a sad and tragic event.

I heard on the radio that two suspect has been caught. Also, their are four air plane has been crashed. The passenger are almost 244. That sad. I hope who live in New York will recover soon.

I watched many policecars, ambulances, military jeeps, service buses, etc, went in/out from Manhattan Bridge where I stood corner of Canal Street and Bowery. There was Chinatown and Little Italy become ghost town. I felt pain in my heart. I can’t stand to see wounded workers. I found Chinatown Fair was okay but it still closed. Borders and best food resturants were gone as they were inside World Trade Center. I still worrying about J&R Music World because I loved to shop anime DVDs as good price and discounts. My eyes were crying as all Canal Street covered little dirt. Many police officers refused let us enter ground zero. I live two block to ground zero. I want to become voluntee.

I was really angry to WHO DID IT?!?!?!?

Please never say point to Arab group, okay? I know Bin Linden was possible number one suspect.

I am telling you that Big Apple Animefest will be going on as midtown Manhattan will start reopen tomorrow same to Broadway/off Broadway.
