When we are talking about H-Game is all about Illusion, this company create the best H-Games in Japan by far, we are talking for full 3D games where every scene is fully interactive & controlled by you, so in that game you don’t just watch some CGI images but you become a part of the action, Illusion have create many awesome games through the years but one of the latest games the one I write in the thread title, Real Play, is among their best work if not the best for me it is the best, so how about do your thing & release this masterpiece over there? be certain that is going to be worth it sales-wise the quality of the game is TOP-NOTCH!
Illusion would be the company that used to make a game called RapeLay, before it blew up in the Western media. (Yes, it's gone in Japan as well.) They have no interest in talking to any Western/English localization outfit at all.
Unfortunately, if Illusion itself has no interest in selling its games in English overseas, there's not much JAST USA or anyone else can do. Given the negative publicity their games have attracted in English-speaking countries, it's unlikely Illusion will cooperate to release its games in English.
We have contacted them several times. As sometimes happens in this world, they're among the most schizophrenic eroge companies around, not even having normal ties with others in the industry like Sofrin.
Probably they afraid the backlash in the news like the last time with Rapelay, there is so many annoying organizations in the West that don’t loose a chance to make big deal of everything especially in the US, reporters from CNN went so many times in Japan to bash the H-Manga&Game scene, I hate those feminists who keep on bitching about everything but I hope you keep on trying after all if everything is legal there is nothing for them to be afraid off, the game is for 18 years of age & above anyway & adults can buy anything they want, no one can say anything, it’s time for the west to understand what “for adults” & “18+” means & stop bitching about H-Games the same way they don’t say anything about porn, I wish you the best of luck it would be amazing for a publisher to start bringing Illusion games in the West I’m sure lot’s of people will be ecstatic if this ever happen.
We were talking to them before all that but they didn't ever reply, or replied once saying "no." They're probably more scared now, though all of that Rapelay stuff faded away even here in Japan.

Illusion was never interested in releasing their games in English. The Rapelay incident probably just sealed the deal.
Yes, sadly. And think about it from their point of view. They have a decent business selling $88 boxed games to fans, they can play within their sandbox and have no drama if they stay inside Japan. One of the themes of Japanese companies is, they're very, very risk averse, which is why Samsung ate Sony's lunch in the 90s, and why Sony or Nintendo could have planted some seeds to create a VN market for their platforms many years ago but didn't, because "Americans don't like visual novels" (or, "people will assume they're adult, better not take the chance").
I thought Illusion's games didn't sell very well in Japan, because sex simulators aren't all that popular there. Although I bet they'd do really well if sold in English.
