Umm...Excel Saga is just insane, like this thread. Maybe worse than this thread. But dog stew is in fact a delicacy in some Oriental country. I want to say China or Korea, but that's only because those are the only two other Oriental nations I know of besides Japan. I can't speak for Strawberry Eggs, but Excel Saga just had it in there as a joke with very questionable taste.

Dog stew (Or dog in general) was banned in China in 1995. Or at lease that’s the law in the cities. However, can’t say for sure in rural areas.

What are Strawberry Eggs? I find this term funny and amusing. (the anime is cool too.)

I like many fruits.
strawberries, passion fruit, kiwi, lychee, bananas, I like them all, but most of all, I agree with Ladyphoenix-sama, I like cherries. It started with all the cherry cheesecake my grandfather would make for my brother and I as we grew up.

So far I’ve liked how AD Vision has those “ADV Notes” you can look at. I mean, I catch most of the “insider” jokes in Excel Saga but I still would have missed several of them if it wasn’t for the notes. (Er, and I think this thread is more insane personally.) But between the gaming episode and the pretty girls episode, I can see why you guys were telling me to pick the series up.

Fruit? Er, okay. Pineapple. And plums I guess. I don’t eat all that much fruit. Well cherries at times but I’m usually concentrating on the alcohol they come in…

No idea about what “strawberry eggs” actually are myself. Not that I care. I really like that anime. Watched it repeatidly this weekend. Now I just have to see if I can survive waiting till the end of October for the next volume to come out. (I hate waiting! )

Actually, it's an import from hongkong. ONly original voices, but subtitles in chinese and english.
Anyway, there is a catch with the english subtitles: They do not always appear at the proper time and increase in this manner (unintentionally ?confused? ) the madness of the story...

with the goats, though, i just knid of realized how pointless it was to try and turn you all away from your goat blood-letting, so i sort of threw up my hands and said ‘whatever’ lol
