If the handcuffs were Spec's idea, he probably has also the keys. But don't bother! I never thought this would come in handy, but nonetheless:

Nope.
I am already bound to mourn for Aerith all the time that remains in my life, so I am sorry but I can't accept your offer...

Don't cry, Unicorn, She did become one with the planet, so it's not like she's gone forever.

...I wonder--how many people here have even heard of Those Who Hunt Elves?

Hey, ladyphoenix--have you seen the show? I think you would like it ^^

So I decided to stary playing Gloria. I’m impressed so far, by the voice acting and writing anyhow - the graphics are obviously dated, the interface as well - but that’s not really what I find unusual.

I’ve only been playing for ten minutes and have already managed to get two endings. Can’t say I disagree with putting them where they did, either. I’m actually kind of impressed that they offer options like

Accept the job offer
y) es
n) o

and have the game actually END (immediately after it starts) if you do say no. Most game designers would either not offer the selection at all, or they would contrive some way that you would accept anyway, so the game could continue.

Have I SEEN Those Who Hunt Elves? dearie, I OWN the whole series I LOVE it!

Elf Girl: Thank you for saving me! If there is anything I can do for you, please ask!
Jun-bei: Well, there is ONE thing…
Elf Girl: Please ask…Anything!
Jun-Bei:
Elf Girl: What? I can’t hear you?
Jun-Bei: I said…TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES!!!
Elf Girl: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKK!!!

I made Brian watch it, and he liked it too…he said it had ‘car wreck appeal’…it’s so bad you don’t want to watch it, but somehow you can’t turn away

That's only a small consolation. I liked her alive on that date in the "Golden Saucer" quite better...
Yeah, I know this is selfish because she could save the planet only this way, but I have to be honest with my feelings.

... and if that idiot Sephiroth didn't got that obsessed with conjuring meteorit, it wouldn't have been necessary either ...

Thanks to this, I have to wait until I find her in the promised land (if I ever get there)!

Hmm, I know someone else I was talking to described the series the same way. Scary...

Which reminds me, finally saw the preview for the second series. I think I'll be picking that one up as well, even though I'll probably miss Celsia in her little "dog form". I mean, who didn't enjoy it when they found another part of the spell to transfer to her?

Are you kidding? That was probably the best part...

Here's hoping they remembered to keep the funny, and not turn it into a really lame ecchi show.

Well, I watched the DVD last night. I personally think they're keeping the insanity up. A few more butt shots than I remember in the first but unfortunately, it's was quite a bit of Junpei's butt. I mean, I was already suspicious about the second episode being titled "Those Who Wipe" and I definitely guessed where it was going there...

Mihke of course, is always fun. And a few of the minor characters from the first series, like Annette and the Judge show up. And if you look at the back cover, you can sort of guess what happens to Celcia. But pretty much if you liked the first series, you'll probably like this one too.

Great!
So I apparently don't just have to continue nagging my retailer about his reorders for the third volume of Chobits, but have to get this series (both seasons) too. Actually, I was repelled by it's title and judged the book by it's cover. But now that I realized what I am missing out... (No, I am not talking about Junpei's butt in particular! )

I think my sanity would have been better off if I had missed the scenes with Junpei's butt...

TWHE was an odd title for me to decide on. Like you, first the title put me off, then when I found that the "hunting" was more along the lines of "stripping", I thought it was just some perverted T&A show. Then I heard that the nudity wasn't explicit but saw a preview with the tank in it and just went "What in the?!?" I don't think I would have even tried to watch it except I got a good deal on the tapes so I just went for it. Yes, my journeys through anime are long and weird...

Oh since we're off-topic here, I was going to pick up one of the DVD players from J-List, any opinions on which one is better, the CyberHome or the Lasonic?

...well, now we know where YOUR mind is.

I actually took a chance on it, God only knows why…it’s not the kind of thing that would usually appeal to me. I watched the first VHS tape, which ends on episode 3 (which is, I feel, the weakest). Never watched any more, until my roommate my last semester got into the show. Well…I was reminded of why I liked it, and went out and bought the show a few months later…of course I got around to watching it like a year after that :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the show because it’s a satire on the kind of show, that most people seem to think it is.
