**Should I Buy?**Tokimeki Check-in

I’m considering buying it.
Tell me this thought, I read a review of the origional Japanese version
and it apparently had the flaw, of 1CD with voice acting, and the second CD with music,
therefore you cant have both good music and good voice at once

Will the newly translated version have this same flaw?

Considering that this is a re-release under a different language,My take is that the same problem will remains.

IMO,the game you should be getting is Little My Maid.

Maybe it’s me,as I have a weakness aganist “Twin Loli Tenshi Maid No Imoto” kinda girls !!

But seriously,I think you should get Little My Maid first as it had some simulation elements in it while the other titles are the Adventure kind with very linear gameplay.

well i dunno…
Little my Maid sounds an awful lot like Maid Story simulation-wise…
then again…those screen shots do have superiour graphics
maybe…

Still waiting for the comment of a Moderator/Peter Payne…

Exo:

From what I’ve heard/read about the game, LMM is similar to Maid’s Story, but much more detailed, higher quality (sounds, graphics, music, script), and with more emphasis on the after hours training.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed Maid’s Story from Himeya (http://www.himeya.com), but LMM is just a better maid-rasing game.

Hi.
I suppose you saw the review through densetsu.com
I’ve also read the review before but it didn’t affect my decision because I really like the storyline.
The flaw will not totally affect your pleasure of playing the game. The soryline, graphic overcomes the flaw for me.

As fro LMM, I think it’s a lot better than Maid’s Story but the basic story is the same (correct if I’m wrong). However, with Kumiko’s post on LMM you can see that there is more challenge to it (11 endings)

I suggest you follow your own heart and instinct to buy the games (I’m becoming a poet here ) Take your time, the games are still in pre-order anyway.
Remember that you are the one paying and playing the game. Follow others comment, thoughts and reviews as a guideline not as your final decision.
OK

See ya.

seperate cds:
just because everyone is used to it
doesn’t mean it isn’t a flaw
a design flaw that is

so pretty much each person, depending on his/her preference for either music or voice
will use only 1 of the 2 cds
that is wasteful on resources

if you sold 2 sepearte versions of the game, 1 voice, 1 nice music
they would probably each be cheaper

hey, i ve got 2 cd-rom drives
any chance of running both a once?

Don’t think so,since the game always detect the drive from which you install the game to run the music.

couldn’t someone write a patch/crack for it?
preferably PeachPrincess themselves build one before a hacker somewhere does it first

Okay, it is not a design flaw
they intended it that way
i still think its Bad Design though
kinda wasteful if you choose not to use the cd-da option

wouldnt mp3 sound format be great for future titles?
ive seen some American games which are starting to use this
and cd-da is not that hard to convert to mp3

oh nevermind
im happy enough now

Kumiko, here is the original Tokimeki Check-in topic. All I had to do was look on the second page.

Wow nearly two full pages of topics in less than two months.

Hi.

Yes, I saw this topic and I even has a post in it. However, the title of the topic does not supportive so I thought I start a new topic solely for Tokimeki Check-in!

There is no problem with Tokimeki Check-in at all. It’s very easy to enjoy the character voices along with the CD-DA game music. To do so, do a full install of the game, which installs all voice files to the hard drive. Run the game, and choose “CD-DA music” in the config menu, then put the 2nd CD-ROM (the music CD-ROM) into the drive. Voila. The music and sound files tend to be loud and bump into each other, so I recommend you turn down the volume for the CD music to the lowest level, using the Multimedia control panel. Trust me, it works fine and will work fine in the English version.
