Someone wanted permission to import Enzai into Australia

Someone apparently tried to get this game past the Australian ratings board.

Dude, seriously? And Left 4 Dead 2? Deadly snakes, ants and octopuses AND you can’t play any good games? **** Australia.

You’d pay an absolutely ridiculous price for it if you bought it locally anyway, just like anything else, even with the dollar basically at parity.

Anyway, the ACMA classification system is currently undergoing a much-needed review, although it’s hard to be optimistic that there will be that much improvement. The fact that an RC rating even EXISTS* and the fact that there’s no 18+ rating for games are the main problems with it; not the finer details on how things are classified. Bypass it and import. Everyone else does. There’s no restrictions on trade, just distribution.

also I don’t think we have especially deadly octopi, but thanks for the tipoff. you forgot spiders, though, our spiders are pretty famous

*RC- Refused Classification, means illegal to distribute, show to people etc. I’m of the view that the only class of material that should be banned in this fashion is child pornography - which is already quite illegal for other reasons and doesn’t need the RC rating.

Guess I was lucky I imported both Enzai and Absolute Obedience already. I’v also seen stores that sell Jast’s games down here ( that’s where I got my Princess Waltz ). <3

Think again:
