Something Awful Reviews Horny Bunnies 2

http://www.somethingawful.com/articles.php?a=2119

He liked it less than the first game, but it’s still not a terrible review.

There’s one point I do agree with him about, and that’s the virgin blood.

I don’t know why anyone even cares about SA’s reviews. I mean, you can read them as a joke, but they aren’t helpful reviews at all. The reviews are all bias to talk about all the bad aspects of things, or to make good aspects sound bad. You could do that about anything, so what’s the big deal.

You’re right, and I don’t really care about those reviews. I like to read them as a joke, as they were intended in the first place.

I was contemplating whether I should buy this game, but after reading the review and its negative score, I decided not to. Thanks for posting the review.

I don’t think that you can make any kind of judgement of the game based on a review by something aweful. Actually, I have both “bunnies” games. I can tell you that they are okay, but nothing fantastic. The second game is very short, and it takes you a while to figure out that if you don’t have sex with all four girls right away then you’ll get the bad ending. You can’t play it for storyline, that’s for sure. The sex scenes are okay, but not great. This game is made for people that want to enjoy erotic scenes without much care for storyline. But if that’s what you want, I’d suggest importing a Japanese game from Cronus. They have lots of sex scenes and it’s easy to win. But the main thing is that the characters are a lot prettier and the CG quality is a lot higher. Of course, it will cost more. It’s up to you, check it out:

Inukko Puni Puni - “Dog girl” theme. Very, very cute. ^_~

Fruit Punch - “Idol and Cosplay” theme. So pretty. ^^

Perhaps, we should stop calling SA’s pieces of work “reviews” and invent the term “rantiew” instead…

I am not quite sure, but I think they ceased to exist after they released “Caliz”.
I thought, Cronus was a brand of Cherrysoft and the latter quit business at the beginining of this year.

But I have to agree that I like the artworks of Cronus/Cherrysoft better than the typical character-designs of ZyX too.
But I think Trabulance has also quite neat graphics and not too difficult games (usually even with a built-in help-function).

I don't think that Cronus is gone. Here is their home page. http://www.iris.dti.ne.jp/~hatori/frame.html
See, they released three games since Caliz, the latest being Fruit Punch which released on Feb 27th, 2004. I think that they're doing okay. I hope they keep making games.

Great news, thanks a lot!

Apparently, the way how Himeya put Cronus and Cherrysoft together in their ordering system made me make wrong assumptions then...

Yeah, Himeya does some weird stuff. They mixed up the screen shots of Koiyoubi and Cherry Boy making me think that they were the same game. But I still think that Himeya is a great place to order Japanese bishoujo games. By the way, if you look at the release dates for Cronus' past several games starting from Caliz, you'll notice that the release dates are five months apart. So if they continue that trend, we should see a new game from them toward the end of July.

I played Horny Bunnies 2 while ago and from my view it is good game. I like it. Well probably he like more different games… I don’t know which game but, maybe he doesn’t like that game… Anyway, review is different when people play the game…

Maybe you didn't notice it yet, but Something Awful is designed to piss people off or be funny by extreme sarcasm.
