I have a PC and play PC games because I hate the console industry. There’s 3 primary game consoles (and countless legacy consoles), all of which with good games, but there’s no frigging way in hell I can play the ones I want without spending an obscene amount of money on hardware that otherwise does me no good. A PC on the other hand, is a standardised platform, meaning I can play any game made in the last 8-10 years on it without much trouble, and you don’t even need to use it for games, I can use it for a multitude of things. Say microsoft is strangling competition if you want, but I use Windows because it IS a standard.
Well, the only problem would be that you won’t be able to play newer games unless you shell out money for hardware that costs more than a console.
And last 8-10 years? Not with XP.
