Stainless Night / Pia Carrot e Youkoso! 2 DVD complete

Yes! I bought, last year, Pia Carrot he Youkoso! and I don’t regret buying it. However, I haven’t had a chance to watch it again (only watched it once). However, there is a PinPai show that seems to be nowhere near their radar: Tenkousei. <sigh, again>.

I hope Beam Entertainment, who did the Pia Carrot he Youkoso! 2DX will re-release them as a single DVD or a two DVD set. I bought the first two DVDs, and they were expensive! (6000 yen for a 30 minute episode!)

Hmmmmm… Not sure. In the intro, it read Beam Entertainment, but you may be right.

Now, comparing LDs vs DVDs, I am willing to buy LDs as DVD is a compressed format. But on the plus side of the DVDs, you can have multiple languages (not that useful if you buy region 2 DVDs), multiple angles (not that used, anyway), no LD flipping, and you can play a DVD on a computer.

About Tenkousei, I really loved it. I didn’t notice at first, but Aoi (the main female character) voice actress is the same voice actress of Minamizato Ai in Kakyuusei. Hope PinPai does not take that long…

Oh, would Kumiko consider a bet? I bet that nobody, in the US, will license Tenkousei before 2003. If any US company does, when it is out, I will buy you a copy of the DVD. Of course, I really wish I were wrong, and lose the bet!

Because I am pesimistic in cases like this. Probably because some obscure anime will a very slim chance to cross the Pacific? In that order, I think Doukyuusei 2 has more chance to be acquired, as well as To Heart, but Kakyuusei will be a bit slower, ditto for Refrain Blue. Now, about Wedding Peach, I will be among the first to pre-order it when available, since (look at CD Japan, again) the sets is a bit expensive for me right now… ^_^;

If somebody does acquire Kakyuusei OVA, I wonder how they will deal with the dual OVA 4 release…

Back to the topic. I am quite sure many is aware that End of Summer == Doukyuusei, specially if you hang long enough on rec.arts.anime.misc. Just ask David Watson!

[Check Jungle’s web site… One set of Wedding Peach DVD vol 1. Checks price… 16,000 yen. Checks condition: unopened. WHAT? Unopened??? 16,000 yen??? Thinks for a moment… Can’t take it more… To order or not order. ARGH!!!]

Too bad that’s Kumiko-san’s opinion on newsgroups… Anyway, David Watson is a frequent rec.arts.anime.misc poster, and everytime somebody mentions End of Summer, he gives a short, but straight to the point lecture that it was originally Doukyuusei, including references to the “extra” OVAs, Climax Files, IIRC.

Now that you mention the Music Graffiti… I WANT IT BADLY!!! If they were to re-release the OVA DVDs with the Music Graffiti as an omake, I will buy them again!

[Wedding Peach… Wedding Peach… ARGH!!!]

Hold your horses people
