I think some people saw it coming though. Chihiro is one of the only five girls who loves Kamisama for who he truly is – not one of the “fake identities” he’s created to make them fall in love with him. In addition, she already loved him before the capture event… it didn’t take one for it to happen.
On a final note… she can see the goddesses now.
