I can’t believe this!

Kumiko states her opinion on OS’s in the topic ‘‘problems with tokimeki in when XP’’, then complains when others do the same? Not only that, but deletes most of other peoples views except her own, then states misleading information, claims that the reason that it was closed is because of ‘‘misleading information’’ (which there wasn’t any of, as I have checked an old version of the page from before the posts were deleted) and closes the topic! I don’t really want to get too annoyed about this, but when people are this one sided about their opinions and don’t listen to others, I can’t help but get really pissed me off about it.

OS problems should really be addressed to the companies so that they can resolve these problems. This forum gets inundated a lot by technical problems which isn’t on the topic of Bishoujo discussions.

I know that, I wouldn’t have minded had the topic only been closed, but what really annoys me is the fact that she does the exact thing that she was complaining about and preventing others from doing - that is, giving misleading information (no mis-leading information actually got deleted) and personal views on OS’s.

TurricaN heard of the words “Power” and “Control” (is there an e in there?) Kumiko is an admin and has the power to “control” what is posted here with out prior notice what bokmeow-san rightly states is true however why cant WE help other fans (or future fans) with there problems? isn’t that one of the reasons why were here besides disscusing Bishoujo games?

It’s true that Kumiko has the power to control what people post, but when that power is ‘‘abused’’, some people will just stop coming here.

I know exactly why the posts were deleted and the topics were closed - because the views (and even some of the facts) expressed in those posts went against Kumiko’s own views, that’s why. If she truly closed the topic for the reason that she stated, she would have deleted all of the offending posts (including her own) and gave the reason for closing it, and only the reason for closing it,

Calm down, TurricaN-san. From my prof. Windows software developer’s POV as well, I don’t agree with Kumiko-chan, but I don’t think it’s worth being angry with her about closing the topic. If her answer works for PeachPri’s games, then it’s good.

Ummm… despite the length of that, you’ve actually repeated something to which I was referring and missed some points…

Again, I’ll state that there was nothing mis-leading that was deleted (The only mis-leading things are those quoted above), and if anyone wishes to see for them selves, I’ll be happy to send it out to people.

I’ve also happened to notice that you didn’t just delete the last posts from the topic, but you’ve gone through them and selectively deleted those that you don’t agree with (Whether they’re fact or opinion). Now, I realise that I’m not free to say anything I want at this forum, so if it keeps up, I’ll just have to stop coming here.

Yes, I’d go that far… I’ve done it a few times before on other forums when I’ve had to. Actually, I’ve took it further than that at times - never failed once.

Well after reading all of that, i learned one thing that i didn’t know cause i didn’t think about it, that this forum isn’t an open forum.

TurricaN i can understand how you might feel. It really does LOOK like Kumiko-san is giving her opinion on those quotes, but that just might be another misunderstanding. If i remember correctly, i think those quotes were an answer to a question of mine of which would be the best OS to use for bishoujo games.

Win98 isn’t that bad i guess, i still use 98 cause I dunno if I should upgrade. Now i dunno what post got deleted TurricaN so i can’t really say anymore about this.

From fans i hear that 98 would be the best, but from others, i hear that XP would be the best… I just decieded to stick with the one that i know witch is 98, plus i don’t even have XP. I have ME but haven’t tried it yet.

TurricaN, I’m assuming that it was only your posts that got deleted? I can understand why you’d be upset about that. I wouldn’t want any of my suggestions/opinions/etc. getting deleted cause it was thought to be misleading but from what you know it wasn’t.

Good guess, though obviously not something I can do to Peach Princess (I would not want to anyway), most of the forums I visit are emulation forums and therefore the sites contain copyrighted ROMs that are being distributed illegaly. Getting a site or forum shut down like one of those is a doddle.

It wasn't only my posts that were deleted, many other users posts were deleted too, about seven or eight from the end of the topic, however, I did notice that some of my posts had been ''selectively'' deleted that were not at the end of the topic too.

now’s not the time to rebel the english Bishoujo Games market is still young and may die if we rebel now forget times of past an work on getting the market to a sustainable level or able to grow on it’s own

Kumiko-chan, just to state than some of us don’t give “personal misleading” opinions, but facts given in professional circles, just probably not the same as yours: programming or hardware circles instead of gaming or users circles. Usually the approach to see which OSes are better are different: in the former, people would develop programs to especially find the OS weakness while in the matter people would install softwares and hardwares and try them…
Now, it’s true, the OS you should advice to people is probably XP, as it will become the standard Windows OS (for home at least; I always use NT and will only use 2000… ). BUT, for now, it still lacks some stability… Perhaps at the end of the year, with the full integration of the .net framework…

I really don’t see the point in reccomending XP at the current time as it’s evident from Peach Princess’ own products pages that there are more problems running Peach Princess’ games on Windows XP than there is on Windows 98 and ME - Besides, support for Windows 16-bit OSes won’t disappear anytime soon as there are too many people who don’t want to use XP.
