Greeting:
I just received my copy of “Tokimeki Check-in” from the mailbox ten minutes ago, and I would like to share some of the first impressions I had on this product in terms of the its physical appearence.
Along with the obligatory invoice and promo for existing merchandises, there was also a “collector” edition card featuring Makoto included in the package. Even though I was expecting a more utilitarian item such as a mini keychain or a bookmark, the card was a nice complement courtesy of Peach Princess.
The cover art of “Tokimiki Check-in”, unsurprisingly, features Ayumi in her customary outfit and position. Compare with the cover art of “Snow Drop”, the pictorial of “Tokimeki Check-in” is much better in both design and quality. The art in the cover of “Snow Drop” somehow looked to me like it was created by Peach Princess itself, whereas the cover of “Tokimeki Check-in” was unmistakably originated from the Japanese studio.
The manuel in “Tokimeki Check-in” has a much bigger surface area than its counterpart in “Snow Drop.” Yet they both have the same page number. Also I really do not believe anyone find the manuel an indispensible part of their gaming experience, at lest in bishojo game. Still, having a good looking manuel is an indication that the gaming publisher is committed to come up with products of utmost excellence.
Thats all for now. I have not install the game yet, so I will reserve my comment on the actual game itself.
Phi.
