Hobibox surprisingly annouced they are going to release Viper Special Edition May 24th. Anyone know what this game is? Kinda out of the blue, I thought they were planning on release Viper Paradice next but I guess not ;P.
I’m drawing a blank on that too. I checked Sogna’s original webpage and there’s no information pertaining to this Viper Special Edition release. Hope it’s not some silly Macromedia application they tossed up like they did with Love Love Show. I thought the ‘uncensored game’ was contrived and unnecessary, the original puzzle game was excellent by itself, why add a buggy application besides the puzzle game.
I had asked Jast about this game a few days ago since Hobibox cites them as their distributor, and here’s what Peter Payne had to say about the game when I asked about in-game animation:
"I believe it is a non-adult game but it will include uncensored CG
and wallpaper/animations on the disc as a free gift. They can’t add
the animation to the actual game if there was none in the original ^_^"
Regarding Viper Paradise and the Alchemy game from Hobibox: Has anyone heard anything about release dates for either?
the alchemy game that I read about long ago on densetsu with training and rpg stuff in it? they are going to translate it, right?
… I’ve been wanting to play that ever since I read about it, but me no speakee Japanese…
Well they announced it will be released next week sometime and put up a product description page. Might be interesting but looks like its mainly just a gallery. It only costs 24.95 though I will probably give it a shot.
Yeah, I’ve gotten every Hobibox Europe release so far, not too keen on having to write a review for Viper V16 but it’s in the works, I’ve liked Viper M1’s magical girl chapter and I loved Love Love Show, so I suspect I will be picking up anything Hobibox Europe releases from hereafter, so that I can review it.
So its May 28th, anyone heard anything on Viper LE from Hobibox? Supposedly was going to be released on the 24th…

The J-List update says that they now have Viper LE in stock. Hmm, $14.95, nice price for a game...
