I have just begun a new website devoted to bishoujo gaming. Peach Princess gave me the go=ahead to use their content last night and were very cool about it (thanks for all your suggestions, dave), so i’ve begun the coding.

there is NOT much there yet at all, but i’m curious about what you guys think of the basic look of it so far and what you’d like to see on it. Also, i’m already asking for fan art of your favorite bishoujo ladies, so if you want to submit, my site has the addy to send it to. i’m hoping to get some more done on it tonight, so keep checking back. i’m doing the best i can to make the site look classy and entertaining despite the rather smutty porn ads on the top and bottom (i can’t avoid them, they’re hosting me for free).

I took a look. I don 't like those porn stuff, why don 't you try f2s to host your site ? Reviews are quite important and extra information maybe a cool thing like the mythe of Lady Snow that PeaPri included in the game so other people have a better view of bishojo games.

Hmm, we should link all bishojo game websites together I think.

ok here’s an update…i changed the server for my site…it’s the same site, just moved to a more appropriate place…i got fed up with the upload problems, and i don’t have them on the new server…there are still porn banners, but they have to do with hentai, which is great!

At the risk of being called hypocrital, isn't it, errr..., odd, for a site about legal bishoujo anime/games, but the banner leads to no so legal stuff?

how do those ugly banners work anyway?
can you do something with a frame to keep them from intruding so much?

maybe you could use an Anchor to have the page load to the middle where the content is, so the ugly banners are not the first thing seen at the top of the page

I actually chose the place I did BECAUSE there is illegal content. I’m hoping that by having a site that tells these pirates exactly what their pirating is doing to the industry right in the middle of their pirating, it might wake a few of them up.

It’s a highly optimistic view, but i have always been too optimistic for my own good.

well, if anyone can find me a FREE hosting site that doesn’t have illegal content, i’d be happy to oblige…i’m just a poor, single woman trying to raise awareness, not a corporatino with money to throw around…

that has been my biggest problem…finding a place that will allow adult content sites for free…and all those that do usually have illegal content…

oh and to answer an earlier question, no i can’t do anything about the banners…if i try to hide or remove them in any way, it constitutes a breach of terms

thank you slayer for understanding my situation i would love some input if you find somewhere better than where i am…i’m still going to look a bit, but i’m trying to get the site up and operational, which i’ve said many times takes all my time now

just a quick general update…i have putup my “What’s bishoujo gaming?” page as well as a page outlining my specific requests for submissions to the site…so take a look if you like…i’ve also got cute buttons up now for the three main titles i’m planning to start with…i did the buttons myself, too, which i’m proud of!

My $0.02. Why the over-emphasis on adult content? I mean, sure, PeaPri sells games with adult content, but they are not the only games! (OK, those are the games available in English, so I take that back). You could easily write about the games, without talking that much about the "sex" part. Else, you have pretty much fallen in the trap of people calling bishoujo as pr0n.

Take Pete's Hentai Helper. He has a long list of saved game along with a short commentary/description of various bishoujo games, yet, it has passed almost unnoticed to Geocities.

BTW, I hope the fans of Tokimemo don't read that their fav heroine were wearing provocative clothing! ^_^;

I was discussing this problem with Daveo f PeaPri in email…the problem is actually that PeaPri’s site themselves has adult content…the terms/guidelines of most hosting sites is that you cannot have any nudity/porn on your site, NOR LINK TO A SITE THAT HAS CONTENT LIKE THIS…as PeaPri has adult content, and I really need to link to their site, as well as to JastUSA, in order to make my own site worthwhile (why speak so highly of bishoujo, then not provide any way to get it?), i need a site that allows adult content and linking to such sites…see the problem?

and i refuse to post a site on a site and just HOPE they don’t notice…for one, i’m a law-follower (mostly why i am trying to LEGITIMATELY promote bishoujo, even though it’s turning out to be a pain in the kazoo) and two, i really don’t want to put hours and hourso f work into a site only to have it pulled down and deleted if they happen to discover it

Okay, seriously. Uh, hmm...(I'm trying to figure out the best way to explain this without quoting myself.) Oh, okay, you can click on the link that says "UBB Code is ON" and it goes through an explanations of the various codes. (Sorry, I never actually looked at that page, I just used my regular coding skills.) Does that help?

gee, surprise surprise, i’ve moved AGAIN! LOL

like i say on my site, i’m starting to feel like an internet army kid

but i decided to get away from the pirating linked sites for now and host on Tripod…as Kumiko suggested, i have all my html and image files backed up in case they kick me, even though i am going to keep all if not most explicit material off my site…i am still going to look for al egitimate adult server though, but i’m getting tired of all the “You can’t have this, we can’t be linked to that” that i’m hearing about being on a site that hosts piracy, so i’ll take my chances on tripod…

I’m not in any way saying I’m annoyed at you wonderful people at PeaPri…i totally understand everything you’ve said, which is why i moved…it’s just frustrating to find out first-hand how incredibly difficult it is to do anything legitimately and legally these days…sigh…but i’m known to be stubborn…i’m not giving up yet…

all iask is that people support me in what i’m trying to do, by visiting my site and offering feedback…if no one is coming to the site, it seems rather depressing to keep working oni t, you know?
