Can some provide me with the links to find the font programs that work with Win98 because I want to import some japanese PC game.
I’ve used one of these before when I was trying to see the text on Maigo No Kimochi. It still didn’t show up right and was nothing but garbage. I was a little confused as to how to use it. Does it just run in the background and attempt to convert the text into Kanji or what?
Thanks
You might have the wrong language set. On the upper part of your screen there’s three or four buttons. Click the button with the flag on it. Select Japanese Auto-select. Keep the program running in the background when you run your game. That’s all I can think of. See if it works out.
I think you should use Richwin, because njstar doesn’t always work with japanese game.
Past experience with these programs was that they don’t necessarily work with every Japanese program. in some cases, if the filenames in the games use double-byte characters (japanese characters), your windows can’t even read them [Win2000 ‘might’ be able to, I’m not sure. it can delete them, though).
best way to go about is still to partition your system and install the japanese os for your games.
Thanks for the help.
Where can I find Richwin program?

hey yyoshi, how do you partition the system, so i can use alternating both OS back and fore. I got this program call System Commander, I think it has something to do with it, but I don’t know how to use it. If you know how to use this program, can you give me a step by step guide on it. If not, then how do you partition the system. Thanks.

I use System Commander 2000 as well. I didn’t have any problems with it. (I use a multi-boot Dos 6.22/ WinMe / JwinMe setup on mine) I built it myself.
Is possible to partition a hard drive on your computer and install Jwin98 on it.
Yes, but the problem arises when JWin98 detects another version of Windows9x. Since you can have (in Windows 9x/ME) only one boot partition (namely C:\), you will need boot loaders like System Commander to perform that task.

If you use System Commander 2000 You can install MOST of Jwin98 on the other Hard Drive, some files will still be written to your primary drive.
