I just got my IRC account and I’ve been thinking, what does everyone think about having a fairly regular weekly session about discussing Bishoujo games?

Well, if not too many are busy doing other things... then why not?

mIRC doesn't seem to have a Macintosh version, I don't know if the generic will do. Oops, and I meant to say ICQ account, although I think I have an IRC account as well.
Sounds like a good idea.
Gimme the time, day, channel and server and I’ll be there, as long as the time is okay, considering different time-zones.
There may be no version of mIRC for Macintosh, but I’m sure there are other IRC clients for the Macintosh. Just do a search on Google, something’s bound to come up. It may be more difficult to find a version of ICQ for Macintosh though. Anyway, I’m on both ICQ and IRC so either is good with me.

how/what is ICQ an how you use it?
TH
ICQ is an ‘‘instant messaging’’ program that you have on your computer while you are on the Internet. It lists your friends and the people who you talk to on the net and you can see whether they are on-line or not, and if they are, you can chat to them in real time just by double clicking on their name. You can also do other things such as send people files and voice chat.
There are several of these types of programs similar to ICQ, but if you’re on one of them, you can’t talk to people on one of the others. ICQ is currently the most popular of them and has the most features.
You can download ICQ from the ICQ homepage:
You can also see what ICQ looks like (skinned with ICQ Plus) in this old screenshot of my desktop:
http://www.avalon-one.net/desktop.jpg (The purple window on the left monitor is ICQ)
Of course, if you don’t want people to be able to contact you through ICQ, you can always close it while you’re on-line.
Anyway, if you get it, my ICQ number is 46564928 - feel free to add me to your list (I’m gonna have to make a ‘‘Peach Princess’’ group on ICQ )
One final thing I should mention. ICQ has recently become a target for SPAM, so be sure to go to your ‘‘security and privacy’’ options and block everything possible, except for things from people who are on your list. Also, I think that it may be a good idea not to list your e-mail address in your profile.

A weekly session would be interesting. But yeah, I’m guessing the time-zone problem would be the most troubling part of it. Just judging by the regular posters, we span maybe a dozen or so different time zones?

TH
All people interested in participating in a chat channel, raise your hands (not literally, send me an email) and I will try to organize a list of people who want to be on the chat channel, complete with time zones.
