What G-Collections games have/had V-Mate?

Ok I am guessing the new pressings no longer have V-Mate loaded so you dont need the patch?

Or do you still need the patch?

Also is there alist of GC games that used the V-Mate system? I think it started with Lets Meow Meow but I am not sure.

Which games did it stop with? Or did they just get patches?

Let’s Meow Meow
Hitomi My Stepsister
Pick Me Honey
Sagara Family
Figures of Happiness

These are the ones that had VM originally.

I too would be curious if the latest pressings have the VM removed?

Were there already new pressings?
I though they are still selling the first print-run...

the covers for the V-Mate games no longer state that you need an internet connection.

The blurb about the patch on the product page at G-Collections also says owners of the original V-Mate version can download a patch.

Original imply there is a 2nd version now.

OK, now that I was bothered to get the quote…

Remember, you have a choice between buying CD-ROM or direct download of
virtually all G-Collections games, thanks to the new Virtual Mate 2.0 system,
designed specifically for download games. It’s really the best way ever to enjoy
these unique games from Japan: you can opt for the full CD-ROM package version,
which will be sent to you from our San Diego office and which has no DRM; or if
you’ve got broadband Internet at home anyway, go for the speedier Internet
Download Edition and get the installer right from our server. Check out the
downloadable titles now at http://www.peachprincess.com/download

As you can see, Peter’s last newsletter implied a second version as well.

Sorry if I seem dumb by now, but what is a DRM?

If that statement indeed means that all five games have been reprinted without a need for the patch and that version is now exclusively shipped, then it means for me that it is now finally time to make an order, so I'd like to have that officially clarified!

Of course, I don't mind waiting for that clarification a bit longer though - if it is instead done by the big boss!

I didn’t know what it stood for myself, but I knew that it basically meant copy protection. DRM stands for Digital Rights Management.
