What the fuck?!

Konata is my 5. favorite anime/game character. So everyone who messes with her is going to die a horrible, ungodly death. And you Narg, why the hell do you spread this blasphemy?

Fine, now you all made me watch the first episode and as a cosequence of that I took that silly quiz!

Result:

Why chose Azumanga Daioh or Lucky Star, why not both? And Unicorn, Konata is just as good as Chiyo. Well at least I think so. Though that… pinguin… costume is… overpowering…

(I did the quiz, I’m Konata, suprise :stuck_out_tongue: )

I just took the quiz and woo I knew I was like Konata.

I wouldn’t mind doing so - as soon as Lucky Star has proven to me to be on par with Azumanga Daioh. So far, Azumanga Daioh has the advantage that I know the anime entirely by heart - and just have finished reading the manga - while I only know the first episode of Lucky Star. Thus, I give Lucky Star now the credit of the doubt because you two are vouching for it. Learning from wiki that more characters and the teachers will show up later adds to my hope for it, too.
After all, Nyamo, Kagura and Kimu-rin didn’t show up in the first episode of Azumanga Daioh either.

Maybe, if it were just about comparing these two characters. But theer is more than just Chiyo whom I like about Azumanga Daioh! The “unusual” dreams of Sakaki and the “different way of thinking” of Ayumu are just as special to Azumanga Daioh, as is Chiyo-chan!
Oh, and the teachers are special there too: you won’t find a pair like Yukari and Nyamo anywhere else. And praises heaven the same goes for Kimu-rin!

How did things end this way?!?!

I watched the first two eps of Lucky Star. Not impressed. Apparently the director changes after the first couple episodes, and it gets better … but I got tons of crap I’m behind in doing.

=P

I do not have Konata materials yet. I will check videos (from either DVD or fansub), and images.

Not really sure… got it from a chan some time ago. I could ask them for the “sauce” though. :stuck_out_tongue:

I need to do it soon though… seems all of mankind is fucked come May 2008. Damn Europeans. :stuck_out_tongue:

As with previous particle accelerators, people both inside and outside the physics community have voiced concern that the LHC might trigger one of several theoretical disasters capable of destroying the Earth or even the entire Universe. This has raised controversy as to whether any such risks outweigh the potential benefits of constructing and operating the LHC.

Though the standard model predicts that LHC energies are far too low to create black holes, some nonstandard theories lower the requirements, and predict that the LHC will create tiny black holes, with potentially devastating consequences. The primary cause for concern is that Hawking Radiation - a postulated means by which any such black holes would dissipate before becoming dangerous, remains entirely theoretical. In academia, the theory of Hawking Radiation is considered plausible, but there remains considerable question of whether it is correct.

Other disaster scenarios typically involve the following theoretical events:

  • Creation of strange matter that is more stable than ordinary matter

  • Creation of magnetic monopoles that could catalyze proton decay

  • Creation of a strangelet

CERN has pointed out that the probability of such events is extremely small. One argument for the safety of colliders such as the LHC states that if the Earth were in danger of any such fate, the Earth and Moon would have met that fate billions of years ago due to their constant bombardment from space by very high energy cosmic rays such as protons and other particles, which are millions of times more energetic than anything that could be produced by the LHC.

Quantum calculations presented in the CERN report predict that:

  • Any black holes created by the LHC are not expected to be stable and will not accrete matter.

  • Any monopoles that could catalyse the decay of matter will quickly exit the Earth.

They already have Particle Accelerators and such but they are not quite that large. There about a 1/3 that size and are also a 1/3 less dangerous. I agree the possibility of something going wrong are much much greater with something that large.

Key part of that statement:

“One argument for the safety of colliders such as the LHC states that if the Earth were in danger of any such fate, the Earth and Moon would have met that fate billions of years ago due to their constant bombardment from space by very high energy cosmic rays such as protons and other particles, which are millions of times more energetic than anything that could be produced by the LHC.”

Translation: “This is impossible”.

If aliens are monitoring us in secret, that would make a hilarious epitaph if we obliterate ourselves and the neighboring star systems with some sort of catastrophic space-time phenomena.

On a less cataclysmic scale: I’m surprised the country who hosts this gigantic quantum gun, aren’t the least bit concerned. I mean sure – maybe the thing won’t create a blackhole that sucks the Earth into it… but I’m sure if it exploded due to something less “fantastic” - the boom would be nice and big.

Can anyone say: “the crater formerly known as Europe?” :stuck_out_tongue:

lol the Crater formerly known as Europe.

It’s things like this, that proves why God put Japan on Earth.

OMG I MUST SEE THAT MOVIE!!! That looks like the best movie I’ve ever seen in my life!

Nargrakhan, that is the most awesome movie trailer I’ve seen in a long time. How did you find that? I didn’t see any twins in the trailer anywhere. Did I miss them?

Found it while hunting for more info on VERSUS 2. Same genre.

And if you don’t know what VERSUS is… FIND OUT NOW! It’s totally hardcore, and a cult legend in Japan. Was released in the US some time ago too.
