i find it to be a bit too expensive for no-diecast + a loli figure and drama cd that ihave no real use of, so i settled for the alt version instead (both black and regular version)

True. I got a few of them, for the collector value. In the US, for hardcore TF fans, something like this is so utterly alien… yet in Japan it’s just another market ploy. 
Besides… when I first saw this version of Prime, I had the image of a really pissed Elita One pop into my mind. Prime you stud. More than meets the eye indeed.

narg, i have been wondering…
with the movie coming up, which version of the prime toy should i get? the big one (more complex transformation but looks bulky) or the small one (looks more slim and proportional to the CG designs but damn that frigging backpack/kibble thing)
it is unlikely that i will buy both unless they go on clearance so im a a bit torn about which one to get
but that said, i have ordered ultimate bumblebee at BO-YA
Personally I’m going for the larger Leader-class versions, because the Voyager-class Megatron is so pathetic looking. 
It just dawned on me, that while Prime might get a loli here and there, the true pimp of The Transformers is Alpha Trion. Just look at him with his harem.

Yes they do actually. For example an android is male, and a gynoid is female.
In some of the continuities, The Transformers race were created as “domestic” products by the Quintessons. Thus the female side of their kind, were just an alternative choice from the “male” line. During the Autobot/Decepticon Wars, I suppose both sides began specifically assaulting the females as psychological terror of sorts… or perhaps it’s just harder to create female models, and their losses were difficult to recover. Either way, female Transformers are ultra rare in the “present” - but they were evidently common in the past. Seems that in the “future” their numbers were gradually increased again.
Female Decepticons exist. They range from ultra submissive (Esmeryl) to ultra devious (Thunderblast).

I only watched “TF: G1”, “Beast Wars” and “Beast Machines”. My knowledge about TF is very limited.
That’s very interesting stuff about the female Decepticons. I’ve searched about them at Wikipedia.
And about the “mighty” Predaking, I think you forget about Abominus and Piranacon. The Terrorcons and Seacons are feared and have monstrous forms as Gestalts.
I know, most of fans consider Predaking as the most powerful and fastest Gestalt/Combiner, but, you know, the most popular and coolest Gestalt is Devastator, right?
Hihihihi… The Defensor is a ‘defensor’ who can’t defend himself. And the Superion is a ‘superior’ Gestalt in getting spanked by others Gestalts.
