Or at least, has that ever so present tufts of hair draped over their face that hides the eyes? My guesses were that it would detract from looking at the bishoujos, but I remember playing Divi-Dead and they did show the protagonist’s face, although you don’t know it till the very end. Is it a practice that Takada Yuzo started and just caught on, or was it standard practice? Although when his characters get serious, like Yakumo from 3X3 Eyes, his eyes open. Kyusaku from Nuku Nuku just seems to never get a haircut, and he never stops smoking either.

Also, me and my friend were disscussing that maybe its to give the male player the illusion that he’s the guy(lol).

Just kidding. Though I always kinda assumed it was something like that. By not "developing" the main character's face fully, it would allow the player to more easily "put themselves in their place." I think I have to agree with this sentiment. After all, the eyes are pretty much the most expressive and, in my opinion, the most distinctive feature of the human face. Take away the eyes and you'll get someone generic-looking.
Hmm, I knew anime characters 's eyes are to show emotions but that point of ekylo is interesting. Let 's not hope that they will start focusing on guys too much eh Some people say the eyes of anime chars are copied from disney 's bambi, is that true ?
