That is part of what I mean by confusing with which they choose to leave out. There is enough negative comments about DOR around here that I am amazed it is still being sold, unless of course they had so many translated and they are still trying to sell off that number and not making any new ones.
Yet one that people are willing to pay 165 dollars and more for in an acution seems to show enough interest that at about 29.95 it would sell to a lot more people. Unless of course it is something to do with it being rare that makes it so sought after?
Yes but I think the XP problem is probably fairly easy to fix versus a discussion of having to retranslate the game or something, and so what if it is old, if it is good no one should care and few seem too, once more I site the 165 dollars paid for the game in auction.
People rush out and buy DVD’s of old movies all the time, so what makes these games different, other then the fact thye don’t make patches for XP.

You've probably nailed it with that. Rare games always fetch a load. That and the fact that it is ebay. I've seem $15 H-doujins go for silly money on there.

Well I was thinking it is because of hte idea that if you restrict the quanity of almost anything and you increase the value and the desirablity because it is in a sense a status symbol.
Still said, I think if they had it for sale for cheaper but did not announce there are so many copies out there, but this is a great older game, people would think there are fewer and rush to buy anyway, fearing it might once again vanish and be up to 165 dollars. Play off the fact people have believed such things in the past and being people will beleive them again in the future.
wow, I’m beginning to think it might be profitable for me to consider selling my original, legal copies of True Love and Paradise Heights 2
I probably never will, because I’m such a collector and a pack rat…I also have the original clamshell cover version of The Little Mermaid with the penis-castle
and I’ll list my wishlist as well, since my birthday is coming up (as mentioned in the off-topic thread) and who knows? maybe I’ll get lucky this year too! cause I love you guys!
in order of importance to me:
Come See Me Tonight I’m Gona Serve You 4 Heart de Roommate Kango Shicyauzo 2 Day of Love and vaguely interested in Sensei 2
Horny Bunies 1&2 have been promised to me by Ksarchet for my birthday already so they are off the list ::big hugs and snuggles for Ksarchet::

Actually I think that is a very valid quesiton, because I am not sure anything can be taken for granted with such sales. It makes sense that they would not re-translate it again, but on the other hand it does not quite make sense to see an English language version to an Italian market where English is obviously not the first language.

Maybe, but don't forget a simple fact: that comics shop (and its clientele) is italian, and the game is english/german. Not many persons here can fully appreciate an OLD (and not-WindowsXP-compatible) videogame from England, especially one with a box so silly... (Sex mad girls on the rampage!!)
It makes me wonder… If there is such demand for this game, why doesn’t Peter make a deal with this guys and get part of their stock? 10 Euro is what? US $12.50? I would certainly pay US $20.00 (plus shipping) for this game…

I second that... I SECOND THAT... I certainly would be more than happy to pay $25 US (Plus Shipping) for the game. $20 for the game and $5 shipping.

On the contrary, I would actually try playing the game just for the sake of...you know...playing different kind of bishoujo games...or yaoi games for that matter

Don't forget the rest of us here. Benoit, you can actually make a small fortune selling the game. $8 US profit per game...hmm...(take out a calculator)
I’m not out on making profit off it. I only want to give everyone a chance of getting the game.
I’m not forgetting the rest. But if someone would like a copy, I would like the person to step forward and say so.
At the moment I have almost ordered 5 copies of the game through my Italian friend. At the moment I’ve got this list of people: Benoit (yup, me ) SCDawg (if he wants to, I’ve already seen him wanting to get his hands on it bad) Laslow
So 2 more ‘slots’ are open. My Italian friend wants to be sure that she’ll get the money back (can’t blame her).
