Muku 2 (Nikukyuu) “Cannot Find Website”

Hey all that will only cost me $1,853 before shipping. DOH! Oh well someday…

Btw anyone know where I can get Muku 2? Himeya cannot purchase this title and I cannot find the homepage for Nikukyuu, they have 2 reviews of Muku 2 at densetsu.com, and it looks good.

Oops forgot my other question, I know some Japanese DVD Videos require Region 2 Coding on the DVD player to work properly. Does this apply to computer DVDS too?

So If I bought a DVD player for my PC (I dual boot Japanese Win98 and Win2k) can I change the DVD setting in Japanese Win98 but still be able to use english DVD in Win2k? or once I change to Japanese I cannot use English without changing back?

Not sure where you can get such an old game now(strange that Himeya can still get one as old as Mei-King but not Muku).
Maybe cuz it was such a popular game.
It was one of the best sims!

Nikukyuu’s site is here:

Download DVD Genie, here.

It lets you change the DVD region of your (software) DVD player, such as WinDVD and PowerDVD (2.55 & 3.0). I haven't tested the former, only the later, so I won't guarantee it will work with WinDVD.

Well, I do have a kind of wishlist¬Ö in fact, I have two; one for the Japanese bishoujo games that haven’t been translated or converted into English yet and one for the games that have been converted into English or are possibly going to be translated and converted into English. Just another note… the order of the games doesn’t really mean anything, at least not in the Japanese list, since getting Japanese games aren’t a priority to me right now, because that I can’t read Japanese (Really, there’s only a few kanjis that I can “read” in Japanese, but just being able to read a few kanjis won’t help me… and also, several combined kanjis may have a much different meaning than what I throught that it was).

1. Dokusen (Will, Ruf)
2. Utsukishi Hime (Will, Rouge)
3. Kairaku (Will, Rouge)
4. Dual Colors (Chiffon)
5. Shinobi (Ciel)
6. Spiral Corridor 2 (Will, Ruf)
7. Brightia (Cronus)
8. Slave Bazaar: Renaissance (Will, Ruf)
9. Men At Work 2 (Studio E-Go)
10.Tokyo Yuyu (Sarang)
11. Kaze to Daichi no pageant (Xuse)
12. Saigo ni Kanaderu Capriccio (Tacchi)
13. Pirate Crown (Softhouse Chara)
14. Inbi no Makoku (Buchi Devil)
15. Yuwaku (=Temptation) (ScooP)
16. Fortuna (Zyx)

I’ve read, heard or been told of various things about most of those games listened here of friends, persons on this board or sites like GamelexGS and from what I’ve heard, read or been told of those games listened here, I’ve enough interest in them to consider the throught of buying them (meaning that the games sounds good enough to me ). Also, this is not all games I’ve got some interest in; there’s others too, but for the moment, those aren’t listened here (and if they were, the list might be about twice as big as it is now ^^;; . But as I said, buying Japanese games aren’t a priority to me right now, it’s buying English games that is a priority to me right now.

Ok, on to which English bishoujo games, whenever they’re out yet or not that I’d like to have (sigh I’ve said it before and I say it again: if only the market was bigger here in the West!):

1. Slave Bazaar
2. Little My Maid
3. X-change 2
4. Brave Soul
5. Critical Point
6. Little my Maid: Pandora’s Box
7. Synchronous Hearts
8. Transfer Student
9. Snow Drop
10.Newscaster Mariko
11. Gibo
12. May Club

Comments, anyone?

Region coding on most new machines has to be handled in 2 ways. One the software must be made multi-region coded such as with dvd Genie an excellent program. The other most new dvd drives are hardware protected for region coding. You must find a region hack for your specific drive. Note to be blunt this will void your warranty. Also there is absolutely nothing illegal about modifying your equipment to be multi-region. It is only an industry agreement to limit distribution but does not break the law if you mod your equipment to get around it.

Thanks alot for the info, you guys have been very helpful. I was planning on buying Datsui Jan 2 on DVD to test it so we will see how it works very soon.

Bigdog, on your list I’ve played the following games if you have any questions about them let me know.

-Fortuna
-Be-Yond
-Kotobuki
