It's probably because it ships November 23.

How do they figure numbers like that? Right Stuf and ADV’s label ‘AnimeTrax’ also figured they would release 100 + CD soundtrack titles in the next year. Can they like, project into the future and see how well their sales numbers do?

I don’t quite like how they ended Word’s Worth, it was on the vague side.
I wish NuTech released something funny for a change like Trouble Evocation but Court no naka Tenshi Tachi is great and funny as well

Is Court no Naka Tenshi Tachi that volley ball title I seen on their web page?

Oooooh my God…This is one of the best news I have during this lifetime. I am an avid fan of the girls of wordsworth. I thought that the words worth OAV will never be released in the english market and, not to mention ahem, withouth censorship and, if, for some reasons, those blurry mosaics are still blocking the interesting PARTS, all the staffs of NuTech better move in another country bcuz I am going to hunt them down one by one

Don’t ask me where I got it but I kept on watching the series over and over again for a really long time now. Nevertheless, I am also happy that my end of summer vhs will be toppled from the top pedestal by words worth OAV…I will probably purchase the DVD format and buy a DVD player in the process…YOSH…better save some money,

Unfortunately that money, which I am going to save for the OAV and DVD, was supposed to be for my purchase of Peapri’s manga U_U…Forgive me Peapri but I am already charmed by Sharon’s blonde hair Don’t worry I will buy those manga in the near futur, especially "Fair Skinned Beauty"

Anyways, I hope that this release will give Elf the chance and the persuasion to release their game in english, although that’s in reality an unlikely scenario U_U…Damn eyes…getting really heavy…need to rest…

PeaPri needs your support far more than NuTech does, just FYI. An anime being released has nothing to do with Elf, though - it's Pink Pineapple's property.

Doukyuusei will never be toppled from the top... (bwaah hahh hahhh!!! ) Only if Cream Lemon were released could that happen...

The sad thing is, even if WordsWorth (The Game) was released in English it probably wouldn't sell to the regular game community, due to the fact that it uses an older 3D engine. It's rather unfortunate really.

-Just to give a semi-current example, the reviewer of Anachronox, in the pages of Computer Gaming World was disappointed that the game used the Quake II engine to run the game. (The Quake III engine had been released awhile back) The game received 4 out of 5 stars. (One wonders if the reviewer would have given 5 out of 5, if it had used the newer engine) That, unfortunately is the attitude of a lot of gamers. I was also on the Neverwinter Nights board over on Bioware's website and people were talking about how good it will look. When you have a prevalent attitude like this, it's difficult to change the biases that the American / Canadian gamer has concerning what they expect on graphics.

Just FYI Anime on DVD www.animeondvd.com has a fresh review on Koihime and Court no Naka Tenshi Tachi.
For those who are interested, take a look on what the DVD has in store for u
The review itself was pretty fair according to me , I find Anime on DVD often gives good rating on anime and asult bishoujo anime

Sigh, what can you do really? The reviewers of Anime on DVD are no anthropology majors, they don’t know the history of Japanese mythology, and certainly don’t appreciate the evolution of Japanese erotica. I don’t think the NuTech titles Koihime or Mujintoh even mention the Bishoujo games that they are based off of either, do they? Just like End of Summer didn’t make the Dokyuusei tie-in. Feh, the reviewer even professed embarassment that he spent thanksgiving watching ‘hentai’, suggesting a guilty pleasure.

Well it’s just a simple yet “well done” information page on anime/hentai dvds. I’m sooooooo happy that Pia Carrot is coming here, the second i see that on the shelf (or my distribitor just might hold it for me ) I’m BUYING it, no second thoughts!! Same goes for WordsWorth . And someone PLEASE correct me if im wrong but is there a sequel to Kohime? I have the boxset of it and love the art of the cover (to bad the dvd itself isn’t labled, it’s double sided). 'Cause on Pink Pinkapple’s page there is a pic of the girls from Kohime and some new girl, it doesn’t look at all like a game so im guessing it’s not. Someone please tell me cause im going nuts!

Well, I know that there hasn’t been any good reviews on adult bishoujo anime but I find this guy to be better than the rest
By the way, these 2 titles will be the future release titles of Nutech but i can’t seem to get an info of what it is about.
Does anyone know what E’l and Imma Seiden is about?

Kaiser, here’s the link to E’l, on Elf’s website.

You can at least get a look at the characters.

Thank you Kumiko and Doug for the enlightment

On the contrary, ADV touted the fact that their Softcel launch release "End of Summer" was indeed adapted off the very popular dating sim "Do-Kyu-Sei" (literally, "of the same class"). They spent a lot of $$$ on advertising that release in magazines. We are not anthopology majors, either - it isn't necessary to be one to learn about Japanese popular culture, or many fans would be at a loss, right?

NuTech doesn't know this material... they have learned a very little bit, and are now evidently not much interested in learning the source. They don't care much about anime fandom - if they did, they would not be releasing one OVA per DVD, obviously. You don't expect much from them - this is new for them.

It looks like NuTech took a bunch of anime titles and slapped some (unattractive) porn actresses pictures on them to sell to anime fans and to people who could care less about anime.

The problem with "mainstream" adult companies trying to market anime is they don't know the first thing about the subject.

I could see the marketing meetings now.

Guy #1: Why don't we try selling this
anime stuff?

Guy #2: You mean them cartoons that come
China?

Guy #1: I think they're Japanese.

Guy #2: Same thing. Why that girl got pink
hair?

Guy #1: It's an anime thing. This title is
based on a long running video game.

Guy #2: Like a porno Super Mario Brothers?
Is that girl Mario's girlfriend?

Guy #1: No. It sold good it Japan.

Guy #2: Eh. Just find some of our actresses
to dub over the squeaky voices.
Anime fans should eat it up.

So it goes.

By the way, how are NuTech's DVDs. I know the one episode thing but how is the dubbing and any good extras?

Well i tend to watch the dubs (as long as it doesn’t scare me away with voices that don’t suit the char at all), the voices seem to be rushed, when they say things sometimes there is no expression of the emotion the char is suppose to have. I’ve greatly noticed this in Kohime from Suzaku and Pia Carrot from Satomi… I haven’t even watch the dub entirely cause it pretty much scares me . Oh and yes! I got Pia Carrot the second i saw it, just like i said

I also thought it was very smart of them to have American adult industry actresses do the voices for them. What better way to get people to take a better look at Bishoujo and Hentai anime than native name recognition? Besides, a lot of the adult actresses are very charismatic, I just melt when it comes to Asia Carerra, she’s very down-to-earth, has a personality much like that girl you sit next to in class, and from New Jersey Whoo!

I remember watching a documentary that included Asia in it. My biggest shock was that she was in the National Honor Society. (And I’m trying to remember if she was a National Merit Finalist as well.) A lot of my friends were in NHS. So far, I’ve resisted the urge to imagine any of them entering the adult industry. Not that I would have anything against them if they did, but a lot of them were people who would literally rather stay home and do extra credit homework rather than go out and have a social life. And what’s more social than being in the adult industry?

I didn't know that. I have to start looking at them in a different light.

Truth be told, I think Asia looks more attractive without the gobs of makeup that she puts on for public events and movies. She looks so adorable, like an older sister.
