Working for Peach Prin

You can. There are three trials you have to go through when applying:

  • Defeat Lamuness at mahjong,
  • Be able to identify more anime/game figures than Shingo,
  • Translate better than Ex-woo.

And then there’s Peter… the ever feared Final Boss of Peach Princess. I hear he has at least two forms… maybe even a third. :stuck_out_tongue:

That already happened - and you know it!

That’s a toughie, but still not impossible as far as I don’t have to OWN them all, just identify…

Hey, I only want to apply, not take over the entire business!

Hmmm… but on second thought… :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, whoa whoa…

The guy might wanna just fold t-shirts here…
None of this irony needed…

Heh, okay, it’s funny. Please, continue…

Okay, fine. I’ll give you a serious answer.

None of the guys who are responding are PP staff, they’re board regulars. So they can’t tell you for sure.

However, PP is a very small company. You would need to be able to playtest the game, translate the text, proofread a translation, maintain the webpage, or probably some combination of all of the above. BUT! Even if you could do these things, it is still not very likely they would hire you, for they are small, and several of their employees are in Japan. Small companies have small supplies of cash with which to hire new guys, so unless there was a burning need for new people, no dice.

More to the point – why do you want to work at a company like PP? (Right now, Pea Pri IS the company translating b-games into English, so the only company “like PP” is PP itself.) It’s a lot of work, you would specialize yourself rather narrowly, and it probably wouldn’t pay well.

If you want to get more access to the Japanese market, you can do that by learning Japanese. If you honestly have a burning desire to localize these games, then that’s different.

Thank you very much for the information! As for your question, I’m just really curious about it. I’m still a student in college, but have not decided what I want to do with my life yet. Actually, it’s rather hard for me to decide what I want to do, and time is ticking. People have told me that I should do something I like and will enjoy, but when I think about it, I really am into the Japanese culture of anime, manga, 2D girls and such. I just wanted an idea of what it’s like working at a company such as Peach Princess. Anyway, thanks for your time.

sigh

Well, if we wantto approach this from the serious side, you may want to take a look at the official Job announcements that Peter posted here a few times.

These are the examples that I could find using the search-function:

Thanks, but you didn’t really have to go through all that! It’s funny because all of them have the word “San Diego” in them  .
