Xchange 2 praises

Crowd put good work into developing the stories for most characters. Shizuka Ootori’s story was especially endearing, and the quest in the women’s dorm felt very much like an RPG, I like it. I wish there were more good endings, I’m not a big fan of the multiple bad endings.

Yes, I love her joke at the end. It slays me every time I play it.

Let’s see if I’ll find some time to play through her path after I have finished Casual Romance Club and before I get my copy of Brave Soul, then…

Currently, I feel quite frustrated from XChange2 though (or rather disappointed from my own bishoujo-gaming-skills), because I still didn’t get any of the really good endings…

(Please, don’t give me any hints or even worse: walkthroughs! I already have two walkthroughs for XChange2, one in the artbook, the other in the user’s manual of the Best of CROWD Collection 1. But I think XChange2 deserves to be played without such help and I’d rather never find a good ending than spoil it by using a walkthrough.)

Because the 'Gossip' factor is a lot lower in xChange 2 compared to Tokimeki Check-In!, the decisions are far more forgiving and you can adventure a lot yet still get the best ending. The Shizuka Ootori one is especially cool because you had to make a series of decisions that left you with no choice but to follow that quest. If you're a wonderful guy there will be no problem reaching any one of the Best Endings, just carefully map out unique encounters with certain characters.

Then I'm rather disappointed in your skills as well...

Just kidding. Wasn't planning on giving any hints, I mean, you know where all are hints are anyways! But you did remind me that I still havn't picked up the artbook. I was waiting till after I played the game to get it. I learned my lesson after getting the LMM artbook!

Shizuka is really my favorite in XC2. There's just something about her...

I see. So, I am apparently not a wonderful guy then because I had plenty of problems and I have currently given up.
Thank you very much...

Hey, hey, it's too early to give up yet!

As for the game, I agree about that it's a very well-done game, exactly the quality we're looking for when it comes to CROWD . And, Shizuka's scenario's quite good, and especially her joke at the end is quite enteraining . And that ending is soooo sweeeeet ^__^

Errrr, too early? You are the same I-got-all-best-endings-in-three-days-Spectator-Beholder, that usually exchanges mails with me, right? You think that it's still too early nonetheless?
Snow Drop didn't manage to frustrate me as much...

Nice try, but I still want my frustration-meter to drop more, so I am not going to touch that game again soon.
Perhaps, after I have finished Synchronous Hearts (and I am NOT talking of the japanese original Doushin here )...

EDT.:
Besides all my whining, I want to set one thing straight: Among all the english bishoujo games that have been released this year up to now, XChange2 is still a great game that I recommend on second place, right after Casual Romance Club.
I just don't get along with it too well...

Well, perhaps I should give up on these games because I am not cut out to play them?
If I just wouldn't have gotten Mizuho's (=Sophie's) best ending in CRC last weekend in my first try to get her, I might have even believed in that myself...

Probably, you now learn another lesson because PeachPricess doesn't sell these artbooks anymore. So I think I should consider myself being lucky for already having it...

Damn it. That was a spoiler, so I had to retype the paragraph backwards...

[This message has been edited by Unicorn (edited 09-29-2003).]

Doesn’t the ending with Shizuka feed Takuya’s narcissistic tendencies anyway?

Actually, I know a local story had a copy two weeks ago. I hope they still have it...

Wish you didn't. My brain took awhile to shift gears just so I can read it.

But actually I was talking about Shizuka's characterization more than her story. Her personality and such just appealed to me...

One of the funniest events in that Women’s dorm quest is going to the bathroom. I kept going in to see what would happen… you should try it out too, it’s pretty funny.

One of the best things about xChange 2 is the extra events, they make side quests very enjoyable. The topless Takuya character CG during the Karaoke challenge is especially enjoyable  Tokimeki Check-In! stopped short of topless nudity during the Poker match because Takayuki was such a gentleman :Rolls eye:

What?? I have lost all faith in humanity, unicorn couldn't find a best ending I think you've been playing too much strip MJ

Ahh, the classical question about hen and egg in a new variation:
Was I frustrated from XC2 and began playing Strip-Mahjan to compensate for it, or was I playing Strip-Mahjan and thus not focussed enough on XC2 in order to get the best endings and thus got frustrated...

Yeah, dat's me . But to say that I found all endings within 3 days is an exaggeration; I found six out of seven endings within 3-4 days. The last one took me a week to find ^^;. But nonetheless, it's ALWAYS too early to give up. Unless you've been paying the game for something like, 20 years without any luck with the endings .

O_o... Then, you're not going to touch XC2 for... A year, more or less? O_O.

Are you preparing an experimental new hell for me, just like the devil did in your Hermann the hellbound-comic?
A terrible bishoujo-hell with a computer that only plays X-Change2 and I have to play 20 years without a best ending in order to get salvation? Hidoiiiiiiiiiii!

Also, you tell me to concentrate on XC2 for 20 years and leave Farina, Bellninetta, Filia, Karin, Misaki, Ayano and Haruka alone with their problems? Daihidoiiiii!

I probaly should also never again see my Mayuka, Fuyuno and Akiho? Tottemo hidoiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

We don't know any facts regarding Synchronous Hearts for now, but I expect a Will-game would be released next after Brave Soul (and you probably know which one I am talking about, since it already broke Transfer Student's record for being overdue....
(No, I am not talking about Oyaji-bazaar! )

I'm not creating any experimenting-hells! you cannot make me confess abouy any of those secret deals with the devi....... Oops! *covers mouth*

Err, besides, I was never telling you to abandon all those girls you mentioned, I just throught you should give XC2 some more tries before you give it up for such a long time .

And besides, the comic is called "Herman the Heathen", not "Herman the Hellbound"

Hey, I told you to call bach your trainees in order to turn my place into a stray-lemon-trap, didn't I? After all, I have a lot of good reasons to take Fukushuu on all of those strays: Breaking our email-connection, making me re-install XP, grilling my DVD-ROM-drive and CD-ROM-burner, removing all good endings out of my copy of X-Change2, and on top of that delaying the release of Oyaji-bazaar...

*Fills the lemonade into bottles innocently whistling.*
*Starts to sing: "Come ye to the square..."*
