The ad states something like “totally re-mixed x-change game with a new concept by a whole new team” then says what the game is about. Is it just me or does the Yin Yang story sound just like, if not exactly like the others? A male who turns into female by drinking a potion? It mentions something like he has both female and male DNA but the potion seems to turn him into just a female. Even if it is a little different, should we really advertise it as “re-mixed with a new concept”?
Well, it’s a different character, there’s futa, and it (I think) doesn’t include the Rape Bus?
That’s enough to set it apart from the original X-Change series in my book.
I was completely uninterested in further X-Change releases, but Yin-Yang looked more appealing in the early promos. (I am way too busy now to get new games - I haven’t finished even one path of my latest two purchases yet.)

I 'll wait until I 've played before passing judgement on the Remix claims.It’s possible that the difference may come thru storytelling , character development , etc . I have heard that there are more options for male partners , as well as female partners . More variety of partners of both genders , no stupid rape bus , dickgirls …that all sounds like enough for the remix claim.
For what it’s worth I enjoy the X-Change series and am really looking forward to Yin-Yang.

With all the scenes of rapebus in various games you have to wonder if its either painfully common in Japan or a massive fetish. I don’t mind it in games, I can just skip them. But if there’s a dickgirl involved I think I’ll stick to Tsukihime for awhile.

ya, yinyang is pretty much a whole new dimension from takuya’s xchange series; totally different themes will be explored this time that are prolly impossible to portray in takuya’s story
first, we all know that takuya is pretty much a weakling, while kaoru is a guy who likes to get into fights in school etc. kaoru has a little sister who falls in love with him, while takuya’s older sister is nothing but a bitch 99% of the time. most of the people around takuya pretty much teases him all the time but that will not be the case in yinyang…and there’s no rapebus this time
if you really want to be picky on similarities, it will be 2 things (at least that i can think of):
- got changed to a girl with a potion…but really, can you think of a more scientific/realistic way than this? besides transgender surgery

So that’s the “most eagerly awaited game by Peach Princess”? A game where the plot is basically the same as 3 others but this time he has a nice sister and he likes to fight? What has the english market come to.

But I get the general idea.
One main key points that happen in this game for example in the X-Change games, are the potion turning him into to a girl, but that’s all. This is a different story same key point with something for everybody and I think this will be a great game, that’s why it has multiple endings, so… are you brave enough to play it:D. This game has good graphics no offence to Peach Princess Staff and Peter Payne but they’re trying to bring great games to be translated into English. I am very interested in the game “YUME MIRU KUSURI: A Drug that Makes You Dream” and I hope they will completely released it 100% like the original Japanese version translated into english of course:p.
I’m very much looking forward to Yume Miru too, and Black Bible. Black Bible kind of reminds me of a hentai Death Note. I don’t know why.

The english market has come to the realization that “The XChange series is the biggest hit they’ve ever had”. The choices basically revolve around doing what makes money, or going under. And just think, it’s actually better now than it was in the past. Bible Black is coming out, and the people who bring over the HOVAs may look to more games if it does well. GC only went under cause their parent company evaporated.
The market hasn’t “come to” anything. Exactly the reverse, if anything. We’re “growing out of” this phase.
Besides, it’s the “most eagerly awaited” game according to Peach Princess’ press releases promoting the game. Ever notice how every single one of their games is ‘great’? Come on. You didn’t really expect Peter to say “In this stale rehash of the last 3 games, a guy gets turned into a girl, but it’s NOT the same guy, it’s a different guy! Watch as slightly different scenarios unfold almost exactly the same way as they did the last three times!”
Side note: I went to go pull up PeaPri’s “Water Closet” page to see how they described THAT game, and it’s gone! They have a section under ‘support’ but nothing under ‘products’. Can’t say I’m terribly surprised.
As someone who actually knows a thing or two about biology … There is absolutely nothing whatsoever realistic about someone drinking a potion and having a sex change. Even if it is possible, no one would be able to whip up such a thing on demand. Even if someone DID do it, the stress this would put on your body would either be lethal or (worse) incredibly painful.
I think “sacrificing goats” would be just about as realistic a way for the sex changing to take place.
This isn’t intended to be a criticism; it’s the game’s premise, it’s fantasy, it doesn’t HAVE to make sense. But it really does make no sense at all.
Well, it is possible but noone is claiming that it’ wouldn’t be painful ( Tobad such potions did not exist IRL and was a permanent change ) Shows pretty well in XC3 that none of the characters enjoy the actuall genetic changes ^^
I’m not so much for dickgirls, infact I get alot annoyed by it - same with tentaclemonsters - but this games seem funny. I guess he doesn’t go “No, please no” like Takuya goes all the time according to screenshots I’ve seen.
