Shitty situation, but I won’t complain. I’ve already got 10 or so unplayed games waiting for me. It’ll be more when Saya finally comes out too. I’ll just wait and see what happens.
It sure seems like a troubled project; apparently the guy who translated Eien no Aselia was working on the sequel, then suddenly vanished from the internet? So then they found this new guy? Who then also dropped off the face of the web.
I’m real curious why, if the guy who translated the first game was involved, they had to scrap all the work and start over? The first game’s translation seemed quite good to me.
Maybe the update meant more that the second translator continued on from the first and it’s the second translator’s work has to be scrapped, rather than that the entire game needs to be retranslated. Not really clear though.
Haha, perhaps you’re right. After all, that’s what modding the Elder Scrolls (an American game) series is for!
