Taken from VNDB, that took the description from Wikipedia.

Ever17 is the tale of seven individuals who come to be trapped 153 feet within the underwater marine theme park, LeMU. During an apparently normal day at the park, a massive accident happens, placing almost half of the facility underwater. The path to the surface and the communication lines are cut off. In addition, LeMU is under constant assault by severe water pressure, limiting time to find a means of escape to 119 hours. Escape is not the only concern, however; many questions arise as to the legitimacy of the accident and whether or not those trapped there were brought there for a purpose.

It honestly is one of the best titles that’s available in English.

Usualy when someone asks for recommendation, Crescendo is mentioned.

Now it depends if you’re a light sider into VN which are more or less in the utsuge category (half of the pathes are quite sad).

He’s sure - Crescendo is one of the better games in the “sad story/slice of life” genre and is one of those I always recommend to people. As I recall it is officially translated into English - all the better to geek you with.

I believe there’s 3 fan translations that are somewhat recently finished, for Sharin no Kuni, Aoi Shiro (non-ero yuri title) and Sengoku Rance. I haven’t played any of them though and can’t vouch for their noteworthyness, but I’m sure someone else can. I’m too busy playing Dragon Age: Origins anyway.
