Cleaning out the closet

Indeed. Put it on auction.

Or at least lend it to ladyphoenix, as promised. Owning Gin-iro and not playing it is like letting a Stradivarius gather dust in the closet [well, maybe a trifle overstated. ]

I lent it to ladyphoenix already. (That’s part of why I never played it.) Just never got around to trying to make it work on 98.

Interesting point. Maybe it won’t even work on XP. I’ve never been able to make those DOS emulators work.

Yet again proof that not everything works on XP, when recently someone (bishounen_blue?) was trying to prove that everything does.

I wouldn’t say that EVERYTHING works on XP. No, especially not DOS games. XP will run the majority of games, and any English version OS lower than Win2K will have problems running any Japnaese games. If you want to run ancient games, and ancient PC is best. To run bishoujo games that are compatible with Win 98 or higher, XP is fine. Being able to run Utawareru mono, Duel Savior, Lost Passage etc is important to me, so XP is my choice. If your main interest is in DOS games, then XP is probably not your best choice.

I like True Love.

There is no reason to worry:
Gin Iro works perfectly on XP.

Interesting enough, I never mentioned XP, I mentioned 98. I don’t run XP because I have a copy of Gloria around here somewhere…

Bwahahha My copy is STILL shrinkwrapped, Maybe the only one in the world that still is

Yeah, and you keep mentioning it, too.

If you want to play the game, you could download a so-called ‘back-up copy’, I guess.
