Yeah, lots of more hard training for the gilrs... tellt hem to train hard from me, ok? .

But the way, how does the gmae show and explain the characters's feelings for each other?? I mean, the characters sure must feel confused about their feelings sometimes... In the case of Yukino, for example, she must feel really confused about her feelings sometimes; if Karou has her as his slave and yet treats her in a kind way, like they were lovers, how does she then feel about Kyouichi, especially since she knows that he's together with Tsumugi and after she've seen him train her??? And the other characters must feel as cnfused abou their feelings as well... Kaoru, for example, loves Tsumugi and "hates" Yukino in a way, but he may suddenly, unbidden, discover that he doesn't feel as strongly towards Tsumugi as before but rather has started to feel strongly about Yukino... must be very confusing .

Well, the more I hear about the game, the more I want to see it at the english market . Hmm, seems like the story could be both a very happy one or a very tragic one, or even “neutral”, depending on how you you play it…

Oh, and I hope that Dave E still is training the girls very hard … (hey, come on, train hard!! )

hmmm… didn’t notice this thread before… Anyways, this Dokusen sounds like an interesting game, can anyone give me a working URL for the demo movie of the game as all of the ones previously mentioned seem to be broken? Okay, I just made my vote on the poll.

… Well, the demomovie is long since down, but you could ask LadyPhoenix to send the famous CD of demo movies to you, since it contains the Dokusen demo movie (among other things…) I have the demo movie of dokusen (downloaded it a long time ago before it went down), and I can certainly say that the game seems to be very good, from what the Demo movie shows

On the other hand, you do get to see one of the cosplay scenes with Tsumugi as a maid...

Well, even if you doesn't think that the demo does Dokusen justice, it's still very good :d. Hmm, weren't there some glipses of Yukino in her China Dress as well???

Yep, the movie goes pretty fast… Hmm, say, in the game, does Tsumugi and Yukino envy each other? sort of, I mean… After all, Tsumugi is the one who got Kyouichi, but she knows that he’s not in love with her (hmm, she knew that and still confessed to him, without thinking of the consecqences…what a bold girl ), so she must envy Yukino for being the one Kyouichi really loves. And Yukino, on the other hand, must really envy Tsumugi for getting her "prince ^^;

Why? .(. Feeling exhausted!? Don't worry, take this! *gives Kumiko a chocolate frog* You'll feel better soon

Chocolate frog?

Yes, Chocolate frog! Haven't you read any of the Harry Potter books? . In those books, chocolate is decribed as the best way to regain your strenght if you don't feel very good or are very tired . Just read "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", and you'll see . Anyway, I just throught that Kumiko, exhausted as she seems, maybe would need some "chocolate strengt" . And besides, cute girls usually loves chocolate anyway (at least the ones I know does ).

Strangely enough, I’ve resisted the urge to read Harry Potter. (Strange in that I’m normally a voracious reader.) I’ll get around to it someday.

Well chocolate is a good energy booster in general. That’s one of the reasons a lot of “trail mixes” have M&M’s and other similar “energy boosters”. I think we used to even carry such an “energy bar” in our hiking first aid kit.

Hmm, as far as I know, girls in general tend to like chocolate. Sometimes their reactions are downright embarrassing to watch…

Kumiko loves milk chocolate but she doesn't like regular chocolate... she likes sweets!

Yeah I bet, the kind of sweets that melt in your mouth and not in your hands!

Ok, then I’ll give you some sweets next time!! .

Yes, very realistic characters… d soemwhat scary characters too, it seems, but I guess that feeling that you want to get revenge on someone is a natural feeling in such a case (both in Kaoru’s and Yukino’s case).

Well, I just voted and it is up to 136. Not a bad start, give it some time. As for the game, it looks nice. I would like to see it translated to english. On a different subject, what game has kumiko in it?

Well, no game has Kumiko in it, but Kumiko's cousin is one of the character sin Tokimeki Check-In

(...applause, please...)

Okay, for those who don't know, the catalog number is JVDW-54. It will be interesting to see how JVD adapted this convoluted storyline and beautiful artwork... if Kumiko can ever find the money to buy the DVD, that is. Oh, well... she can dream, anyway...

*applause* It goes on sale on DVD in Japan, you mean? *sigh* If so, then I do hope that it manages to get out here in the West .

What!!!??? You mean that the Dokusen anime is bad That wasn’t very good news, that… If it mananges to get out here in the west, then I really do have to wonder if they will judge thg game based ont heir opinion of the anime… .

sigh Bad news… How is it with Gibo, then? Is the anime of Gibo good compared to the game, then?

Well, Kumiko doesn't care for Gibo either as a game or anime, so she isn't the best person to judge. However, she can say that she only saw the first OVA of Gibo, not the second. She can say that the artstyle adaptation was far better than Dokusen's anime, but she doesn't care for the original artstyle anyway, so that doesn't help much (for her, personally.) She can also say that they took lots of shortcuts in the anime... but that might not matter for that work because of the nature of the story. Dokusen is more romantic and dramatic, despite the hardcore content - the anime (at least for the first OVA) pretty much loses that aspect. Gibo wasn't romantic to begin with - it's more of a dark, pyschological story.

Which was about was I excepted. But I was kind of curious about the anime of Gibo anyway . but it sure does feel kind of unfair that Gibo should be better in both story and art than the Dokusen anime

Oh... Kumiko should also say that yes, the English market would judge any title based on the anime and ignore the source. We see this all the time because of the source not being available, and because of the general leaning of English consumers towards anime over gaming, manga, etc.

Which is kind of sad, as I've said before. People does for the most part not seem to care about hearing that the animes they're watching being only "copies" of some game. Sure, ther eis a few people who becomes curious, but for the most part, this fact is being ignored in one way or another by most people.

Well, to bumpo up this thread, i’ll ask the same question I had in the “game request” thread here:

How is it possible that Kaoru and Kyouichi can train the girls at the school after school? I mean, usually a school is “closed” after a certain time and is strictly checked by safety guards who tells any remaining pupils to leave the school. So how is it that they can use the school? I know, this isn’t in reality, but still… Have they stolen some keys to the school, or did they jsut convince a teacher or so to let them stay after school? (the last one seems very unlikely, through).

To our knowledge, schools are normally pretty open in Japan - you see this type of thing in anime, manga, games, and live action all the time. Sometimes they also have a security guard for night time, but the school grounds are still normally open or at least you can sneak into them. But remember, they are not there at night - they do it right after school hours, just like an afterschool club.

In a "all-I-know-of-Japan-I-learned-it-from-anime"-esque comment, I have noticed the following:

In Card Captor Sakura, it is not a problem to get into the school grounds and/or classrooms, just as Tomoyo did in episode 2 (c'mon if there were a security guy, how it explains that somebody turned on the lights of half the school and he/she didn't noticed?).

In To Heart, in one of the episodes (8 or 9, it was Tomoko's episode), they stayed until late, but had to leave school after certain hours (8:00 p.m.?). However, they "convinced" the instructor to stay until they finished.

In Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo, in one of the files, a security guard is the one who discovers the first body (of that case). Similarly, they could stay as late in the school as they wanted, as long as a professor was with them.

(Obviously, there are more cases, but these are the ones I can think of right now.)

As a personal experience, my school have two shifts, one for regular students attending day classes (normal ones), and there was a night shift, for adults who haven't completed their high-school degree. Since classes usually starts at 6:00 p.m., and ends circa 9:00 p.m., any "night" activities would hardly go unnoticed... ^_^
