Looking at US FF13 release dates they just have sometime in 2010, which probably means mid-later 2010 at this point. :frowning: I hope that really isn’t the case because it wouldn’t be until 2011 or so when it hits US shores…

Unless the Japanese version will have an English version in it as well.

Tomorrow is the 0-day for DQ9 in Japan. Looks like they already have 2 million pre-orders. I wish they would go with simulations release dates. Even my friend who likes FF series thinks it’s stupid if they wait until after FF13 is released to release this game, just because FF series is more popular, when the development in Japan likely was stalled for some time. Still no tenative NA release date. :frowning:

Behold… the chaos that is DQ9

Dragon Quest 9 is getting sucky reviews across the board?

Ranks about 50% on the Amazon metric scales. More complaints than praise: even with the most hardcore DQ followers. Dragon Quest Swords, which is seen as a disappointing DQ title (and mostly for breaking the DQ mold), did better with 60% metrics.

On the other hand, some believe it might be a 2chan hate attack to make the game look bad. For those not in the know, there’s a character in the game that’s HATED BEYOND HATE, for being in the game. Think of her as DQ’s version of Jar Jar Binks.

Having not played it, I can’t say, but I can say I can say we’ll know after a week or so.

Just bought an issue of Famitsu. DQ9 was given a perfect rating of 40. That makes it only the tenth game, to ever earn such a mark, and the third Square Enix title (Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy 12 were the others).

Of course we all know the TRUE indicator of popularity, is how much hentai doujin is produced. I can’t wait to see the DQ9 girls in uncompromising positions.

Ya gotta admit, that Akira’s art style has been improving over the years.

Huh… I guess this explains what Square Enix USA has been doing.

It’s not in Dev Hell.

DS remake for DQ6

Well, I think these guys have something for you to look forward to  (too bad it’s only one girl from the game, but still…)

Bit off topic, but does anyone here hope we see any DQ characters in Kingdom Hearts 3?

WTH!? You can’t have just one of the gypsy twins! They’d better fix that.

I’ve been wondering why they ignored the DQ-verse as well.

Also thanks to recent changes: you know Disney is gonna wanna showoff what they just bought. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, there’s been an update with a screenshot which shows that the second twin apparently is in that part, but she’s apparently sleeping through the whole thing.

The plethora of pictures you provide never ceases to amaze and amuse me, Narg.
