hmm lookin through some of the posts i think we could start an essay writing club EG Kumiko-san only shows a slight hint that it can be done (i have essays to do will kumiko-san do em 4 me?)

What’s the point of an essay writing club? I mean, we only type a lot when a lot needs to be said.
i know but u guys type more than i can produce work for my coursework in 3 weeks an anyway they are damn hard to read (to technical 4 me)
cant u make long speeches a lil more intresting to read? it not like it easy to read 10pt text (loads of it) on pale BG an a screen res stuck in 1920x1080 on a 15" screen only doin 60Hz refresh (i broke display prop.)
seeing that u liked to type screen fulls of text why not make it productive?

We just like to make our views and posts clear - that’s all. Also, when you’ve visited another forum like I have where people would pick fault on the slightest thing that could be interpretted as being ‘‘wrong’’ in any way in your posts, you get used to making lengthy posts to explain exactly what you mean.
but you can STILL make your view clear within a paragraph, however im not complaining just saying something that came across to me reading the lengthy posts, jus something im not use to so it aint nothing to worry bout.

Also, the length of the post can really depend on factors such as the importance of the points you are trying to make, the complexity of them and who you are trying to convince. For example, I written a post today on another forum at a different site that was over 1000 words long (though I have seen Kumiko make posts over 3000 words in length), not because the point I was making was difficult to explain, but because the future of the site I was posting at may depend on my post and therefore it’s important that the people who read it understand me exactly as I intended.

Well edward i think an essay writing club is a pants idea cos nobody likes writing essays club why dont you start an anime sharing club so that people ca share what anime they have got or can get with everybody else and then you could make a website and put all the anime stuff on it and you can also put the mesage across about your anime sharing club and you might get people more interested

I really don’t think essay writing club is a bad idea, don’t project your own attributes to other people. But, TurricaN is correct in mentioning that we type a lot when a lot needs to be said. I think everyone can get behind the idea of a Bishoujo chat room because taht way we get real time interaction and debates.
Besides, TH, you can’t seem to use correct spelling and grammar so I don’t think you’re in any position to complain about how the rest of us choose to write.

infact i dont remember seeing anything about formal writing skills in the “TAC” for the forums, if all u wanted me to stop using Slang/phenetic English(british) spelling that is all u had to say i would have gladly changed it save time an effort so give me an example in what you dont like Skyrocket an i’ll stop
