Moving it to a freaking SCHOOL.
Never understood this temptation for eroge writers. Sure, a school provides a decent primary setting as an excuse to meet the heroines and have a heap of time to spend with them, but when your setting(s) already allow for that squeezing a school into the mix honestly feels ridiculous and stretches my ability to suspend disbelief to breaking point. This was my problem with DRACU-RIOT as well. They already had a great setting, a central meeting place for the characters and they all had their own jobs that the player had an excuse to join them in, exactly what did throwing a school into it serve?
That said, it seems to be polling far better than any of the other Vanadis titles so far so maybe it was a good idea >_>
Well, the demo hooked me. As soon as I find a patch for the Alpharom, I’ll import it and report back. (I need that because otherwise it interferes with my text hooker and translation tools.)
Well, it looks like they learned a lesson with St. Monmusu and are finally dialing it back. There are only two girls this time. One of them is a succubus, but I doubt they’ll make full use of her potential for possession.
I"m beginning to realize that I’m never going to see a monster-girl using mind control on another monster girl.
Yeah, I don’t know what’s wrong. The last game looked good, but someone on /jp/ started dumping CGs one time and the succubus looked like she had grocery bags for tits the way they were hanging down. Someone on /a/ actually said Bubudzuke got replaced. I don’t know if it’s true, but it would explain why this latest offering looks absolutely horrible. I really hope they fix this.
Yeah, I guess after the that atrocious landmine with the gynoids, they realized how important Bubudzuke is, since he’s the main artist for this game. I really want to get it, since it’s the first time Aruru has been in a game since 2010. This game is also apparently a bridge between the timelines of some of the older games.
Well,Vanadis recently released some erotic e-books for the kindle and Amazon Japan, but it’s just a different version of the Lamia and Alraune games. It almost seems like they’re really through.I was really hoping they would release expansions or direct sequels to the old games, because I’m not interested in any of the games past 4.
Really hope this doesn’t mean what I think it does.I’m confused about why he’s talking about reflections, but it sounds like Bubudzuke, the artist responsible for all the good Mamono musume no seikatsu games,is either quitting or he got fired.I really hope hope I’m wrong about this.
If Vanadis-Soft goes under, the only company left I actually like will be Jellyfish, and it takes them half a decade or more to release a game.
I sent him this tweet and I got:
“???.” and I got “???vanadis???”
The trouble is,“Vanadis and I are different” could mean several things. The fact that the Vanadis twitter still follows him makes me hope that he just went freelance.Still, the writer for Gun Katana was a freelancer,so maybe there’s still hope yet .If nothing else I wish he would make some new doujins about monstergirls instead of Kill La Kill.
I always knew Vanadis had a shelf life, since most monstergirl fans I’ve talked to aren’t fans of the “shoehorn skin and a pussy onto something with scales/fur” approach that a lot of games and such take.It would have been a lot more interesting to play a living with Manticore game than the generic school fest they released for their 5th game.
Bubudzuke hasn’t worked for Vanadis for almost a year now. The last game he did with them was Sei Monmusu Festival in 2014 February. He’s been working with Herencia as of late:
Quit or fired, after 6 years of exclusive work to Vanadis (2009 to 2014), he’s gone freelance or switched over Herencia. I think the writing was on the wall, when he suddenly did that one game for Lusterise.
I hear ya. Right now my only “steady” eroge studio is TinkerBell for In’youchuu (there’s another in the pipeline for 2015 with moar twincest).
I edited my post above, but unless they’re planning to can the Vanadis-Soft brand then firing him was a fool’s move. His artwork is what made these games popular. The original lamia game was a pretty generic story with a single twist, but the event CGs looked good so that made it a success commercially,at least it seems.
