I hope Windows takes some pages from Mac OS X in its next version. Basically, in OS X there are no versions, every copy can be set to work perfectly well in Japanese, Chiniese, even Ainu – totally useless, but nice nonetheless. All Apple programs just work in the language you’ve got set, too, although third parties are usually the same as always (e.g. they try to get you to buy a $1500 copy of Photoshop in the Japanese market).
